- Shotgun Mistress Collide 30/11/20
The first Australian band to join Golden Robot’s new Metal label Crusader Records, Melbourne based Shotgun Mistress, has released the official music video for their latest Hard Rock onslaught, 'Collide', which is not only today's Track Of The Day, but is also another tantalising preview of their forthcoming debut album. Indeed, the new single highlights the band's now trademark style of combining stupefying guitar riff grenades, a combustible rhythm section and soaring vocals, wrapped in a melodic maelstrom. Shotgun Mistress was formed by internationally renowned Death-Metal demon guitarist Matt Wilcock (The Berzerker, Akercocke, Abramelin), best known for playing at light speeds, who hooked up with “Diamond” David Lee on drums to jam out LA Strip-era Rock. They were joined by Ben Curnow (Earth) on bass, along with vocalist Glenn Patrick (of Collegians, featuring members of Pseudo Echo and Invertigo).
- Magic Dance Remnants 30/11/20
Magic Dance mastermind Jon Siejka returns this Friday 4th December with a fourth album, 'Remnants', of which the track, 'Restless Nights', is today's Video Of The Day. It offers a distinct contemporary take on his signature 80’s influenced sound, and it is hard not to be impressed by his mesmerising, powerfully Melodic songs that are performed with absolute conviction. Originally begun in 2012 as an outlet for Siejka’s synthwave songs, the band is heavily influenced by iconic 80’s Synth-Pop and movie soundtrack music, but has recently evolved into a heavier and more guitar-oriented style that leans more towards classic mid 80’s AOR sounds.
- Cadaveria's Matryoshcada 29/11/20
Black/Gothic Metal band Cadaveria have just released their new single, and today's Track Of The Day, 'Matryoshcada', on all digital platforms. Recorded and mixed at MusicArt Studio and Rrooaarr Sound this September, the band feature Cadaveria herself on vocals, Kris Laurent (guitar), Pier Gonella (guitar), Peter Dayton (bass) and Marçelo Santos (drums). Indeed, the Italian musician is famous for being one of the first women to enter the extreme Metal scene in the early 1990's, as former vocalist and keyboard player of the Symphonic Black Metal band Opera IX. Poignantly, she also dedicated the video "to all the Metalheads who have been close to me during my illness. It is also an opportunity for everybody to say goodbye to the "previous me" and welcome the creature that I have become."
- Dan's Back To Earth 29/11/20
Counting down to the launch of Dan Reed’s fifth solo album, ‘Liftoff’, this Friday 4th December, the ever-creative, final frontier-pushing electro-acoustic wizard of Dan Reed Network, has been releasing four specially-made preview lyric videos in order to give a taste of the album, of which today, completing the previews, is our Video Of The Day of ‘Back to Earth'. With not only its breath-taking, HD glimpses of the natural world, plus the beauty and majesty of Earth, it also echoes its ancient peoples and cultures. Indeed, each video has been visually rich, adding incandescent, mind-blowing imagery to the tracks: such as the cosmic voyaging of the title track; the jaw-dropping footage of Hong Kong’s cityscape and illuminations seen in ‘Spaceship Built For Two’; plus the robotic and A.I.-themed digitally animated imagery of ‘Shed My Skin’. A super-chilled-out, cosmically-themed melange of eleven tracks, crafted to fit and fuse together as a whole-album listening experience, ‘Liftoff’ will be released on Zero One Entertainment’s label and distributed through Townsend Records, shipping physical media and dropping onto all streaming and download platforms.

In the vein of the Dropkick Murphys, Australian Celtic Punk band, The Rumjacks, recently released their new single, and today's Track Of The Day, 'Sainted Millions', ahead of their new album 'Hestia', due out next year on Thursday 12th March. It's a huge tune, very rousing, singalong stuff and a great taste of what’s to come from the rest of the album. It’s a really infectious combination of Irish Folk influences with powerful riffs and vocals. Indeed, for the past twelve years, The Rumjacks have written songs that you cannot help but start singing by the second chorus, even if you have never heard them before! It's their fifth studio album, which marks a new era, as it introduces new lead singer Mike Rivkees, whose songwriting skills have rejuvenated the band’s collaborative spirit. The album was recorded under strict Covid-conditions in Milan, Italy, where the band stayed this year and created the album through August to October.
