- Stones Get Their Fingers Sticky Again! 7 April 2015
The Rolling Stones are set to re-release their classic 1971 album Sticky Fingers along with previously unreleased material and alternative takes of beloved album tracks. Regarded as one of the Stones' all-time great albums, 'Sticky Fingers' captured the bands trademark combination of swagger and tenderness in a superb collection. The classic album which features timeless songs such as 'Brown Sugar', 'Wild Horses' (our Video Of the Day) and 'Sister Morphine' will be reissued in a variety of formats from 22nd to 25th May.

Quite a mixed bag here on Kevin Beale's latest show on 'Track Of The Day'. You'll hear AVIT Blues Band, Darrell Mansfield, Duffy Kane, JP Blues, Paul Jones, Robin Bibi, Seam Webster, SugaDaddy and The Honeydrippers, Tas Cru and a rather excellent band from Ireland: Deko! Also an abundance of awesome old stuff in the memorial/birthday section featuring tracks from John Martyn (a song inspired by Skip James), Eddie Taylor, Elmore James, Smokey Hogg and a rather large dose of Willie Dixon with Koko Talor, Howlin' Wolf and The Chicago Allstars. Phew!

Julian Thornington has been in touch to thank all WRC members who voted for the Celebrations Theatrical Group in the 2014 Lloyds Bank Community Fund bid. As a result, the unfunded group for adults with learning disabilities received a cheque for a whopping £2,000 at a presentation on Saturday of which the WRC attended!

Given U2 were formed way back in 1976 and have since released 13 studio albums plus are one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 170 million records worldwide - we thought it about time that the WRC checked out what all the fuss is about. So four WRC U2 virgins were present at the O2 Arena, London, last night to witness their 'Rattle and Hum' in 'the round' from these guys from Dublin in the latest leg of their innocence and experience tour. One band John Bull of Rockrpix did come across on the Saturday at Ramblin' Man was Jess and the Bandits (pictured). Well October has been an exciting month for the Texan/English country quintet, who embarked on their first ever UK headline tour and are heading to the Borderline in London tonight! Having soared up the UK Official Country Charts with their debut album 'Here We Go Again', the band have been excited to take the record on the road following their sold out London shows earlier this year. As fans of the burgeoning British country scene, the band are excited to have a wealth of homegrown talent to share the stage with as they make their way across the country!
