Following last Saturday's Celebration Theatrical Group ABBA Christmas party - funded by Wrinklystock V - our other nominated charity also benefiitted yesterday from our fundraising exploits! A large group from Carlton Road, Sidcup, Kent, went to see Jack & The Beanstalk at the Woodville Halls, Gravesend and we duly paid for all the ice creams! Don't forget next year's Wrinklystock VI featuring Magic and the music of Queen and ELO at the Mick Jagger Centre, Dartford on Saturday 18th November!

The final category in our 2016 WRC Awards is One's To Watch. Nominees include Broken Witt Rebels (pictured) who we first introduced you to last year and subsequently played Camden's Proud in October this year. The next two nominees are bands that we saw, appropriately, on the Rising Stage at Ramblin' Man Fair in July this year - namely Wicked Stone and Will Wilde! So there you have it - if you want to cast your vote for any one of these 'One's To Watch' then simply go here!

The penultimate category in our 2016 WRC Awards is Best Acoustic. Nominees include Russ Ballard who we saw perform with Brian May, no less, at London's Leicester Square Theatre in January. Next nominee is Peter Hammerton (pictured) who we caught supporting former 2014 Acoustic winners Slim Chance at The Eel Pie Club in August. Amor & Fisk are our final nominees - following their gig at the Inamo in Covent Garden at the end of October. So there you have it - if you want to cast your vote for any one of these three great acoustic performances then simply go here!
- Avenged Sevenfold Surprise Album Release 16/12/16
Avenged Sevenfold are set to return to the UK for their biggest tour yet. Their previously announced 10 date UK tour in January 2017 includes 2 nights at London’s 02 Arena. The band’s last visit was in 2013 for a sold out arena tour plus an awe inspiring headline slot at Download Festival in June 2014 which cemented their unshakable reputation for breath-taking live performances. They recently played a groundbreaking live 360 Virtual Reality gig on the roof of Capitol Records in LA after which they surprised fans with the announcement that their new album ‘The Stage’ – their first for Capitol Records - would be available that night. Previously they had made headlines with the release of the title track, co-produced by the band and Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Tool) and a companion video directed by Chris Hopewell ( Radiohead, The Killers).

HRH have announced further great acts added to the line-up of HRH NWOBHM II - The Xmas Rocka at the O2 Academy Sheffield over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd December 2017. HRH smash open The Vault to bring in another tranche of NWOBHM Legends including Satan, Rogue Male, White Lightning, Jameson Raid and more. Just three categories to go now as we turn our attention to the nominees in our Best Prog Performance in our 2016 WRC Awards. In January we saw Steven Wilson perform at the Hammersmith Apollo, closely followed byFocus (Vid Of The Day) towards the end of March at Camden's Underword. Finally, on a beautiful Summer's Sunday evening we watched Procol Harum (pictured) at the Ramblin' Man Fair at the end of July! So there you have it - if you want to cast your vote for one of these three superb Prog bands then simply go here!

HRH have announced even more acts which will perform at HRH Doom Vs HRH Stoner Chapter II at Sheffield's O2 Academy between Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October 2017. Swedish rockers Truckfighters are famed for their Desert Rock and Heavy Stoner sound, to which they've recently added more atmospheric elements, something that the HRH Horde is looking forward to. Also from Sweden come Malmö-based rockers Deville. Experts in brutal melody, for over a decade, Deville have built a career out of tight, hard-hitting Rock and Roll flavoured with Stoner Metal and Hard Fuzz. As with all HRH events, tickets are selling like rocket-powered hotcakes, so book early to avoid the disappointment of missing out on this awesome celebration of Doom and Stoner Rock. Fast forward four months later and we were at the Half Moon, Putney, to see Sari Schorr & The Engine Room lift its roof off! Finally, Born Healer (pictured) had the honour of kicking off BluesRockFest at the end of September - their memorable set the perfect start on a brilliant day!
