On this week's Route 66 Track Of The Day, host Rory Auskerry plays new tracks from Steve Hill, Jeff Healey (pictured), Jamie Porter, Bonnie Raitt, Layla Zoe, Eric Clapton, Ben Poole, the John McKinley Band, JW Jones and Big Boy Bloater & The Limits (watch out for his latest CD review later this week). There are also classic tracks from Van Halen, The Rolling Stones and Gary Moore plus a couple of Golden Oldies from Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry.

Today's Black On Blues Track Of The Day is another ever popular Blues Women special. This week's playlist features Eliza Neals, Jane Lee Hooker, Debbie Bond, Zoe Schwarz & Blue Commotion, Fiona Boyes, Shemekia Copeland and Michele D’Amour & The Love Dealers.

That was the message from Rock On The Ridge towers on Saturday night as Bob (and Jules) returned to the studio following last week's WRC special (which is still available here). Anyway today's Track Of The Day includes music from Wolfmother (pictured), Dirty Thrills, Western Sands, Stone Rider, Stevie Nimmo, Toseland, Eva Plays Dead and The Fireflys.

BluesRockFest headliner Stevie Nimmo joined Route 66 host Rory Auskerry for a chat on today's Track Of The Day. As well as playing three tracks from his latest album ‘Sky Won’t Fall’ the guys discuss recording, touring, sibling rivalry and sharing mustians. Also on this hot rockin’ show there are tracks from Joe Bonamassa, Marcus Malone, Airbourne, ZZ Top, Ricky Warwick, Ben Poole, SIMO, Whitesnake and J.J. Cale plus classics from The Rolling Stones and Chris Rea.

Where has February gone? Unbelievably it's now just a week to Danny Bryant's WRC Promotions gig at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend, Kent, on Sunday 28th February as part of his 'Blood Money' tour! Performing tonight at Twickenham's famous Eel Pie Club, The Patch, 67 London Road TW1 3SZ are BluesClub starring Guy Fletcher (Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler Band) on keys & steel guitar, William Topley (The Blessing) on vocals, Peter Hope-Evans (Medicine Head and Pete Townshend) on mouth organ & jews harp, Danny Cummings (Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler Band) on drums, Robbie McIntosh (The Pretenders, Paul McCartney Band and John Mayer) on guitars plus Alan Rogan on Fender bass. With a combined love for the Blues of America from the 1930's to the 70's, BluesClub setlist includes songs from artists as varied as Leadbelly and Charley Patton to Slim Harpo, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker, Taj Mahal and Canned Heat. Following recent consecutive gigs in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany - Virgil & The Accelerators returned to Blighty for their first UK end gig of their Spring tour at the Red Lion, Gravesend last night. Supported by Loose Moorings this had all the markings of a musical marriage made in heaven given also it was only a tenner to get in! So did the May Day Bank Holiday get off to the accelerating start we all expected? "I'm looking forward to seeing them play a full set - who knows maybe we can make that happen in one of our promotions?" That was part of Wrinklys Uriah Heep/VATA Islington Assembly Halls review in February 2013 and just over two years later it's gonna happen. Yes all roads tonight lead to The Red Lion, Gravesend, with headliners Virgil & The Accelerators (our Vid Of The Day) supported by Loose Moorings. Wrinklys review also included "We were amazed to be blown away by a power trio .... the boys trusted the quality of their new CD and reeled them off to a very positive response from the already decent crowd ..... we were treated as a finale to 'Are You Experienced' where Virgil really showed his full range of skills ... a quality set guys and it proved the hype that surrounds these guys is not misplaced". So there you have it - more of the same tonite please although we can't recall the name of the geezer that night pictured on the right of Virgil! Any ideas out there?

Headliner Miller Anderson (pictured) is an outstanding vocalist and guitarist and an exceptional performer with a CV as long as your arm and has played with Savoy Brown, Keef Hartley and T. Rex in the '70's and is currently the front man for The Spencer Davis Group. Meanwhile support is from The Sensational Desperate Dan Band - a blues act living up to their name, fronted by Bob Brookes and assisted by Nigel Bagge (ex-Blues Corporation) and Jamie W. Robertson on guitars, Mick '88' Rose on keyboards and last but not least, Jim Bryan and Ivan Pledge are the rhythm section. Get on down for some good time soulful blues and rock 'n' roll! You couldn't make it up! The Who are in Glasgow for their 50th anniversary tour and are staying in the same hotel as a young couple of newly weds. Daltrey is in the lounge and he hears some live music coming from the reception next door and goes in asking if he could do a number to wish the bride and groom well! Naturally the band Milestone and the happy couple Susan and Carl Smith are astounded, and as they say - as per our Vid Of The Day - the rest is history!

The Eel Pie Club, The Cabbage Patch, 67 London Road, Twickenham TW1 3SZ, will be hosting an event tonight to benefit The Prostate Cancer Charity in memory of Art Wood (brother of Rolling Stone, Ronnie - our Vid Of The Day) who was a great musician and artist and a great supporter of The Club in its early days and his band, The Art Wood All-Stars often featured Ronnie as a special guest! Art died from Prostate Cancer in 2006 and his birthday would have been on 7th July. So in memory of Art, this will be a great night of Rockin' rhythm and Blues and nostalgia from The Eel Pie All-Stars: Don Craine and Keith Grant of The Downliners Sect, Robin Bibi (ex-Pretty Things), Rick Biddulph (Caravan), Alan Glen (Yardbirds & Nine Below Zero), Chris Hunt (Lonnie Donegan Band, The Bruvvers) and Dave Lennox (Blodwyn Pig). Special guests include Aurora Colson, Paul Cox, Mark Freeman (Downliners Sect, Rollin' Stoned), Pete French (Leaf Hound, ex-Atomic Rooster, Cactus), Derek Griffiths (Artwoods, Mike Cotton Sound), Peter Hammerton (The Others), Andrew Heart (ex-Billy Idol and Rockstock), Ali Mackenzie (The Birds), Kat Pearson (Kat & Co.) and Jack Pinder (Gods of Rock n Roll).
