Our 'Track Of The Day' is the latest 'Rock On the Ridge' show, originally broadcast on Saturday night between 8 and 10pm. On Bob & Jules' show this week amongst others are Mad Shadow, Riot Horse, Free, Ulysses, Joe Bonamassa, Black Sabbath and The Who plus appropriately a review of the recent Johnny Warman Magic Bus gig!

Given that our Video Of The Day is Laurence Jones (filmed at the 100 Club last year) - Sky Arts are searching the UK and Ireland for extraordinary guitar players who are willing to jam, strum and pluck their way to victory for the chance to perform on the main stage of major UK music festival, Latitude. Whether their jam is rock, classical, jazz or acoustic, competing guitarists will be tested on their ability to play in a style of their choice and demonstrate outstanding skill and ability, and will perform at famous venues associated with their chosen genre. Throughout the process, they'll meet and be mentored by some of the biggest guitar stars in the world. Wow it was close - but Australian Pink Floyd beat off the challenge of both Guns vs Roses and The Bohemians in the battle for our WRC 2014 Award for Best Tribute. Consequently our 'Video Of The Day' features a recording of APF's amazing performance at the O2 Arena, London in March.

Albany Down will be playing live on Radio Veronica's Countdown Cafe show here this Friday 28th August at 10pm UK time and 11pm in the Netherlands. This will be their first radio performance since their BBC sessions and is ahead of Albany Down's European tour in September. The guys promise a brand new song or two from the forthcoming album, so make sure you tune in and have a listen!
