- Welcome To The Blues Club! 20 April 2015
Good to hear recently from one of our new friends Jim McNeill - one of the presenters of 'The Blues Club'! Jim and his partner in crime Malcolm broadcast from Switch Dunmow on Wednesday evenings between 8pm and 10pm here plus all the usual platforms. Jim is a member of the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters Association) and their current favourite bands/artists are Jo Harman, Marcus Bonfanti, King King, Ian Siegal, Babajack, Will Wilde, Rosco Levee and Kat & Co. - hence their latest podcast is our 'Track Of The Day'!
- One Of Those Days! 15 March 2015
Just five days and counting to the WRC's Joe Bonamassa gig at the Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday. As usual let us know if you're going. And if you want to know what all the fuss is about you can download JB's live cover of 'One Of These Days' from his 'Live From Nowhere In Particular' album for free here. However, the much missed Alvin Lee must be turning in his grave as the free download is wrongly labelled 'One Of Those Days' (sic) - you couldn't make it up! Anyway, appropriately our 'Video Of The Day' is Ten Years After and 'One Of These Days'.
- Play It Again JB! 29/12/15
If you missed the exclusive BBC2 Radio airing last night of a special live performance from Joe Bonamassa recorded in the intimate setting of Mr. Kyps in Poole 10 years after his first ever UK show there - well the good news is that you can listen to the broadcast again as it's today's Track Of The Day! In 2005 club owner Mark Kyprianou was approached by JB, at that time a completely unknown American guitarist, who was keen to gain exposure in this country. Although Mark had faith in Joe's talent it was difficult to sell tickets with the result that only 100 people paid to see the show. Afterwards Joe promised Mark that he would be back one day - a promise he made good on this autumn. At the end of his latest sell out arena tour in November, JB and his band returned to the 300 capacity club for an unforgettable evening and BBC Radio 2 was given exclusive access to capture the event!

With just 3 months to go until this year's sold-out 10th anniversary Hard Rock Hell, they are delighted to be joined by Florida's finest: multi-platinum-selling rockers Molly Hatchet, who have a specially selected set for this year's landmark event. Other bands appearing on the ever-popular Stage 2 at HRH X include: Broken Witt Rebels, Red Spektor, Cross Eyed Mary, Bright Curse and The Bad Flowers. Hard Rock Hell X takes place at Camp HRH, Pwllheli, North Wales, Gwynedd, from the 10th - 13th November and has been sold out since last November at HRH 9. However, 25 pairs of day passes for each day, can be secured on a first-come first-served basis at www.hardrockhell.com or by ringing Fleur on 0203 287 6684!

- Barclaycard BST - "That'll Do Nicely Sir!" 30 June 2015
Before ‘Won’t Get Fooled Again’, which was released as a single in 1971, Townshend paid tribute to the band’s late bassist John Entwistle, who died of a heart attack in 2002, and drummer Keith Moon, who died of a drug overdose in 1978. Introducing bassist Pino Palladino, Townshend said: “Replacing John Entwistle was a hard job, as he had such a unique style. But this guy is probably the best bass player in the world today.” Introducing Zak Starkey, the former Oasis drummer who is the son of Ringo Starr, Townshend said: “You’ll have seen pictures of Keith Moon on the big screen behind us tonight. When I see them behind me, I miss him terribly. But before Keith went, he gave this guy a drum kit, so in a way Zak studied at the feet of the wanker.” Hilarious!! Read the rest of Wrinkly The Silver's insightful take on BST here, complemented by more pics here plus Rory Auskerry's latest Route 66 show covering The Who, ZZ Top, Thunder and BluesRockfest which is today's Track of the Day!
