- Noush Skaugen CD Review 14/11/20
"‘Hey Sicko’ is the new album from Noush Skaugen, with her smoky vocals and occasional low rasps, she has delivered an album soaked in Americana. You could close your eyes and quite easily be sat in a small town diner somewhere in the mid-west with ‘Hey Sicko’ playing on the Jukebox. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the album was recorded in Los Angeles with musicians hailing from Nashville, Tennessee - Stanton Edward on guitar and bass with Jon Radford on drums. Noush herself was born in Sweden to a Swedish mother and Iranian father, although she was brought up in London, going on to read Law at Warwick University.” Today read the fourth of our Lockdown #2 album reviews, as this time Chris Bourlet gives you his take here on Noush Skaugen's latest CD, 'Hey Sicko', that is due out next Friday 20th November and includes today's Video Of The Day, 'Starts When It's Over'.

- Korny Vampires 14/11/20
Today's Track Of The Day is the new video, 'Vampires', taken off of I Am Korny's latest album, 'Sleep Ain’t Paying My Dues'. The phantoms and the dreamers, the heroes, and the villains, the brave and the desperate all find their home in a song that intoxicates with a sluggish Waltz and Southern Gothic pastiche. This is the music of an outlaw perceiving his otherness not as a burden but a crown. Thus, every maverick since the dawn of Rock ’n’ Roll is walking by his side. Just like Nick Cave, like the Black Keys or Alberta Cross, I Am Korny is distilling the American dream and the American nightmare, the promises of the west, and the myth of that endless land into murder ballads about the underbelly of love.
- Eyes Of Tomorrow Settle For More 13/11/20
On Friday 4th December, the Eyes Of Tomorrow story continues when the Hardcore outfit release their new full-length album, 'Settle For More', thru Dedication Records (vinyl) and Swell Creek Records (CD & Digipack). Indeed, the Ruhrpott squad, consisting of Chris (bass), Adam (drums), Dom (guitar) and Mirko (vocals), are named after the same-titled song of Oldschool Hardcore veterans Cro-Mags. In 2016, the band released their DIY demo tape, which was out of print in a hurry, and in 2018 Ryker vocalist Dennis, not only took the guys under his Ready To Fight label wing to rerelease the four-track-EP, 'Gone For Good', but also contributed a few guest vocals as well!

- Celtic Outlaws Burned Alive 13/11/20
Today's gritty Video Of The Day is the new single, 'Burned Alive', from Canada’s Death Country Outfit Johnny Nocash and The Celtic Outlaws, a Heavy Hard Rock song with some dusty western elements scattered throughout the leads. Consisting of Memphis Raines - lead guitar, Johnny Nocash – vocals/ guitar, Cory Hofing - drums and LC Jay – bass, they are a one of a kind band that fuses Country and Rock, sodden with whisky and beer to create an organic, original sound that will appeal to a broad range of listeners. The video is a straightforward look at who the band is, that embodies their primal Death Country sound while knocking back a few drinks to loosen up the ol’ neck collar. Indeed, until 2016, Johnny had originally started out as an emotionally driven acoustic Punk solo artist, but then decided it was time to expand the band and open up to adding musicians to his arsenal!

- Joe Bonamassa CD Review 12/11/20
"Unless you’re a fan, it must be bemusing to observe Joe Bonamassa’s career with a disinterested eye, the constant releasing of new albums must make them blur into a kaleidoscope, hard to distinguish between. His industry is admirable. The (v corny) punning ‘Royal Tea’ is the third release this year behind the revamped ‘A New Day Yesterday’ and the fabulous instrumental project under the banner of the Sleep Eazys. The big question for the casual listener is “does this constant output result in a dilution of quality?” The answer is no!” Today read the third of our Lockdown #2 album reviews, as this time Simon Green gives you his take here on Joe Bonamassa's latest CD, 'Royal Tea', that was released towards the end of last month and includes today's Video Of The Day, 'Lookout Man!'.
