  • Dark Blackout Problems 15/1/21

Today's Video Of The Day is Blackout Problems' brand new single, ‘Germany, Germany’, taken from their latest album, 'Dark', released today via Sony Music/Music For Nations. It's a sharp-tongued Rock track, rich in electronics, which takes aim at the troubled history of the band’s home country, but also that of the wider world’s view on its citizens. Following a string of well received singles from the inspired album last year, their latest release reflects the band’s response to some of the alarming headlines of recent years, including the resurgence of right-wing forces and the worldwide triumph of populism.

  • My Book Of Answers 13/1/21

Due to be released on Friday 5th March through Cherry Red Records, the late Ken Hensley completed his final album, 'My Book of Answers', before his untimely death in November last year, however, thankfully Ken did manage to film several videos including today's Video Of The Day for 'Lost (My Guardian)'. The track is driven along with a strong riff, as Hensley calls on his half century of creating Classic Rock, whilst at the same time there is a vulnerability in his voice reflecting the struggle Hensley said he had to find his own identity following his departure, after ten years, from Rock legends Uriah Heep. The album is a unique project, born out of a chance meeting at an airport with fan and poet Vladimir Emelin, with Ken writing the album's tracks around Vladimirs' poems.
