- Dead Daisies Interview 9/5/21
"Entering the stage to Rose Tattoo's 'Rock and Roll Outlaw', frontman John Corabi launches into the opening track 'Midnight Moses' with Marco Mendoza assisting on vocals whilst playing some pumping bass. Rhythm guitarist, and driving force behind the Daisies, is Aussie Dave Lowy, who plays some sumptuous SG's - I particularly like the matt black one." That was part of our Dead Daisies review at Hard Rock Hell 12, back in November 2018, and after their set, we were lucky enough to catch up with Marco and Dave for a chat, which is today's Podcast Of The Day.
- Death Pop Radio Flatliners 9/5/21
Last Friday, Death Pop Radio digitally released their self-titled debut album via Dark Star Records, and with CDs also available on Friday 21st May, their track, 'Flatliners', is today's Video Of The Day. DPR began their journey back in late 2017 as a song, not a band - a fun collaboration that quickly blossomed into a full-blown Hard-Pop-Grunge melting pot of backstories and musical experience. With their raw and driving rhythms and sing-along style hooks, DPR's sound sits comfortably somewhere between Kings X and White Zombie. Add in a sprinkle of Industrial sound design and this blackbird soars. The response has been nothing short of overwhelming... Is it the death of Pop? No, it’s just Death Pop Radio!
