Exactly five years ago today, Norwegian Progressive Metallers Circus Maximus began the second leg of their 'Havoc' tour at London's Underworld on Saturday 27th August, and with influences of bands such as Dream Theater and Symphony X, we were lucky enough to talk to guitarist Mats Haugen and keyboard player Lasse Finbråten before the gig which is today's Podcast Of The Day.

Former Yes keyboard legend, Tony Kaye, has released 'Flight 11', the first track from his forthcoming debut solo album 'End Of Innocence', which is out on Friday 10th September, and is also today's Video Of The Day. Kaye was moved to commit his thoughts and feelings to a heartfelt personal musical interpretation following the terrible events of 9/11. 'End Of Innocence' is a requiem for those who lost their lives and all those touched by those horrific events, a powerful and emotional suite, both beautiful and sinister, reflecting the dark forces at work that day. Indeed, Kaye’s response to 9/11 was to retrieve his keyboards, stored away in his garage for five years having retired from the music business, and begin to interpret his feelings in the only way he knew, through his music.

"And that was that. The end to a brilliant weekend. All in all a major thumbs up to the organisers, with an eclectic mix of music, superb set punctuality, awesome sound, good security, excellent stewarding (friendly and sensible) and a general happy feel good factor across all the punters (post-Covid no doubt). Our intrepid photographer JB went to buy a burger to build up some strength for Day 2's proceedings. When he went to pay, he had no money, thanks to those slidey new £10/£20 notes that always seem to hang out of your trouser pockets, given half a chance. But can you believe, someone actually handed the £50 in, and therefore John not only got his money back, but was also able to feed himself in order for him to carry on taking those brilliant photos that he is so well renowned for!"
