- Dead Daisies Shepherd's Bush Review 14/11/21
"So the old , the new, the borrowed and the Blues. We got it all tonight. King Cnut tried to hold back the waves to no avail. Change happens - it's a regular way of life these days. And we need to change with it. The Daisies are a band imbued with the spirit of change. Spike is a man imbued with spirits - no change there then. As I head back into the night, clutching my obligatory face mask for the delights of my journey home, i ponder the night. The need to take every moment and enjoy it while it happens, because you never know what will happen, underlines why live music is so important." Today read Mother's take on The Dead Daisies gig at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire last Wednesday (Video Of The Day), part of the 'Like No Other' tour, their first UK Tour since 2018, featuring their newest member, Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Fame legend Glenn Hughes, plus special guests The Quireboys and Grand Slam (photos courtesy John Bull of Rockrpix).

"And if that aperitif wasn't enough, the 'Aqualung' main course duly followed in its wonderful entirety and sequence with original JT legend Clive Bunker joining Todd on a dual drum kit. Despite, sadly no Dee Palmer, Barre once again demonstrated why his sound and guitar playing is a major factor in Jethro Tull's success. And if you missed out, make sure you purchase Martin's '50 Years Of Jethro Tull', that similar to tonight's set, gives a fresh take on a lot of Tull classics." That was part of our take on the Martin Barre Band's - Aqualung 50th Anniversary Show at Faversham's A New Day Festival, back in August, so we were delighted to hear from our Swiss correspondent, Marlène Rivet, who took in the very same show at the Mühle Hunziken in Rübigen on Thursday night, hence not only Marlène's photo gallery from the night, but also today's Video Of The Day!
