- Stonedead Charities Rock! 11/7/22
Now in its fifth year, and carrying on its solid tradition of bringing both well-known and new Rock bands to Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire, Stonedead returns over next month's August Bank Holiday weekend, and not only have they just announced that they will be sponsoring four very special charities this year, namely MIND, Andy’s Man Club, RBLR and Barnardo's, but today's six of the best 'Stonedead Charities Rock' Tracks Of The Day, consisting of Black Spiders, Massive, Revival Black, Michael Schenker Group, Stone Broken and Those Damn Crows, features just some of the many awesome bands taking part on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th August.

Sadly this year's British Summer Time at London's Hyde Park ended yesterday with Duran Duran, and for today's Guitars Exchange Video Of The Day, we not only go back to Saturday 25th June when we saw The Rolling Stones headline the first of their two dates, but we also have a few photographs of a memorable day, including the brilliant Cuban Brothers who had the audience in stitches.

We were recently delighted to hear from our old mucker, guitarist and vocalist Keith Howe, that Blacktop Deluxe have reformed back to their original ‘power trio’ roots, with drummer Alan Ibbotson and bassist Matt Roberts, who are not only currently working on gigs, but are also due in the studio shortly for a new release, so for today's Podcast Of The Day we go back, coincidentally, six years ago exactly to a WRC Award winning Rock On The Ridge live broadcast, looking back at Gravesend's fourth BluesRockFest, held at Leo's Red Lion, with music from Born Healer, Blacktop Deluxe (pictured), Red Butler, Jack J Hutchinson, Catfish, Robin Bibi, The Mentulls and Stevie Nimmo, plus interviews with some of the acts.

'Medication Time', the highly-awaited album from longtime British Blues/Americana stalwart Todd Sharpville, was released on Friday via DixieFrog Records, and that very same evening, Chris Griffiths was on hand at Todd's Camden Club Launch Party in London's Chalk Farm, to capture some photos, complemented also by today's Video Of The Day of Todd's addictive second single, the mid-tempo Blues of 'Walk Out In The Rain'. Spanning twelve Blues-fuelled tracks (consisting of nine originals and three covers), the new album examines and expresses many of the emotions that led to Todd's breakdown, the hospital stay, and the slow climb back to figurative normality, which features two duets: one with Rhode Island’s own Sugar Ray Norcia, and the other with Detroit artist and close friend for over 30 years, Larry McCray.
