Unstoppable throughout the seventies, becoming one of Europe's biggest bands during the Glam era, on Friday 9th September Slade and BMG release their new smash hit live box set, ‘All The World Is A Stage’, a unique five-album set that shines a light on why the Slade phenomenon was pretty much unbeatable as a live attraction, of which 'The Bangin' Man', taken from one of three previously unreleased live shows at London's The New Victoria Theatre on 24th April 1975, is today's visualiser Video Of The Day. The two other previously unreleased live shows include 'Live At The Hucknall Miner's Welfare Club' recorded on 26th June 1980 and 'Alive! At Reading', capturing the band delivering a sensational live performance to over 80,000 festival goers on 24th August two months later. Completing this raw and epic box set are the previously available 'Slade Alive!’, considered one of the greatest live albums of all time, and 1982’s 'Slade On Stage'.

Bloodstock Open Air - The UK's No.1 Metal Festival - celebrates twenty one years over the next four days, when it kicks off today at Catton Park, Walton On Trent, Derbyshire, of which today's 'Bloodstock Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day showcase six of the great bands taking part, namely The Night Flight Orchestra, Ferocious Dog, Mother Vulture, Jinjer, Skarlett Riot and Sacred Reich.

Using the island state of Hawaii as a home base, Jeff Cotton of Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band fame, emerges from his seclusion with his first ever solo album, 'The Fantasy of Reality', that's out this Friday 12th August via Madfish, of which the video for the first single, ‘Does It Work For You’, is today's Video Of The Day. After playing guitar lap steel and vocals on the ground breaking album 'Trout Mask Replica' (under the pseudonym Antennae Jimmy Semens), as well as playing on 'Strictly Personal' and 'Mirror Man', Cotton helped craft some of Beefheart's most vibrant recordings, but then withdrew from the commercial music business for nearly fifty years. Whimsical, playful and tongue-in-cheek - Cotton delivers a psychedelic journey that will delight Beefheart devotees across the sprawling 22 track, 66 minute runtime, blending together musical strands such as Jazz, Delta Blues, Hawaiian and the avant-garde to create a melting pot of ideas.

After not only captivating audiences on their European Summer tour, but also now fully energised and pumped to kick off their next round of dates in the USA next month, The Dead Daisies are set to release their sixth studio album, ’Radiance‘, on Friday 30th September, and for today's Podcast Of The Day we go back to November 2018 and Hard Rock Hell 12, when we were lucky enough to interview Dave Lowy and Marco Mendoza after their set. For fans of Periphery and Dream Theater, Next Door To Heaven is a Progressive Metalcore band based in Los Angeles, who have supported such iconic bands as Red and Tesseract, and the Californian band are currently working on a new EP, of which they have just released a new track, 'Disguise', that's also one of today's six of the best 'Wednesday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further new and recent releases from Little Villains, Suspyria, A Different Sky, HeadTrip Trauma and Indus Valley Kings.

Nozfest takes place this coming Saturday 13th August at the 1865, Southampton SO14 3AR, and today's six of the best Nozfest Rocks! Tracks Of The Day showcases for the final time six of the great bands taking part, namely Massive, The Hot Damn, Collateral, Scarlet Rebels, Dead Man's Whiskey, plus headliner's Mason Hill.

Only one year after its official inception, and following their EP, 'Wake Up', and its single, 'Let You Down', for fans of Royal Blood, Queens Of The Stone Age, PJ Harvey, The Kills and Wolfmother, Belgian egnimatic Alternative-Rock/Stoner two-piece, Bar II, last month released a brand new two-track digital single-EP called 'How I Fake It', of which, 'Fake It', is today's Video Of The Day. Indeed, in our present urban times, over-saturated by Electro and Hip-Hop, dominated by show-offs and pretenders, Bar II keeps their mysteries to themselves, refusing to abide by the dictatorship of imagery, not only focusing on pure, raw, dark deranged Rock music, but raising the bar too.

Influenced by a whole range of contemporary artists, such as Nick Drake, Jackson Browne and Elliot Smith, earlier this year Caspar inked a deal with Lastman Music and consequently went into the studio to work on and hone the fourteen tracks that were to become his debut album, 'Hesitation Wounds', due to be released on Friday 19th August, of which the title track is today's Video Of The Day. Hailing from Dorset and described as a blend of original, traditional and contemporary styles, that fuse to create an emotional resonance and energy, Caspar was classically trained as a singer, although the enfant terrible in him incorporates flashes of Rock and Grunge into the flawless rhythms of a masterful first album. A spokesman for our times, as well as a unique musical talent, his songwriting shines through at live performances, as demonstrated last December when the 22 year-old went on the road with Birmingham's Broken Witt Rebels, grasping the opportunity to connect with a wider audience, drawing plaudits for his emotive lyrics and singing style.
