With influences such as Starship, Foreigner, Mr. Big and Giant, Melodic Rock act, Grand, based just outside Stockholm, maintain a long tradition of spectacular Swedish AOR, comprising professional singer and songwriter Mattias Olofsson, guitarist and producer Jakob Svensson (Wigelius) and drummer Anton Martinez Matz, and yesterday the trio released their self-titled debut album, of which the track, 'Those Were The Days', is one of today's six of the best 'Saturday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by another similarly timed Frontiers release from Stryper, plus four further forthcoming and recent releases from Kaixo featuring Daedric, Highway Queen, Iron Allies and Blacklist.
