The last weekend of October sees the welcome return of Monsterfest 2022 to Inverness - where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth in the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands, with the star studded festival taking place at Eden Court from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th October, of which today's six of the best 'Monsterfest 2022 Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day are taken from some of the awesome music on display, namely Mason Hill, Bastette, Marco Mendoza, Thin Lizzy, The Hot Damn and The Virginmarys.

Due to health challenges over the last few months, Billy Idol's six arena shows on his The Roadside UK Tour, finally kick off tomorrow at Manchester's AO Arena with special guests Killing Joke and Toyah, and the WRC community recently caught up with Billy for some questions ahead of his tour, which is today's '10 Minutes With Billy Idol' Podcast Of The Day. Following last year's release of his reflective 'The Roadside' EP, his first new music for seven years, the world’s favourite rebel is back with some new music and a stack of timeless classics. This will be Billy's first live shows in the UK since 2018, along with his touring band, featuring his long-time guitarist and collaborator Steve Stevens, plus Stephen McGrath (bass, backing vocals), Billy Morrison (guitar, backing vocals), Paul Trudeau (keyboards, backing vocals) and drummer Erik Eldenius.The WRC would like to thank Billy for his time and we all look forward to seeing him at London's OVO Wembley Arena on Wednesday 19th October.

"The band throw themselves into the evening burning bags of energy and passion into making the show one of the best I have witnessed. Guitarist Oisin (pronounced Osheen meaning little fawn in Irish) Leahy Furlong is the lead vocalist and holds the conductor’s baton in this Rock orchestra. He holds the crowd in trance like stares before bursting back into passionate fervour." Nominated as his gig of the year (backed up by his mate Paul!), today not only read Chris Bourlet's complete take on Dublin's very own Post-Melodic, Thumper, at Brighton's The Green Door Store last Wednesday night, but also check out their Video Of The Day of '25', filmed at London's The Lexington the night before.

At the end of last month, New York City based international Punk-crooner-noir band, Mad Meg, released their new single, 'Beyond Repair', which is also today's Video Of The Day and has to be seen to be believed! In the video, lead singer Ilya Popenko is unable to move on his own and relies on strangers to carry him through his day. Meanwhile the rest of the band delivers a dramatic and humorous performance of the song, influenced by musical theatre as well as Post-Punk. This is the first of several releases Mad Meg has slated for this year, that will be followed by the release of their new album, 'Who Deserves Balloons and Medals?'

The woman who really does call the road home, Elles Bailey recently announced her 18-date 2023 headline UK tour, that stops off at London's Lafayette on Saturday 1st April, and after her amazing Blues stage set at Ramblin' Man Fair back in July 2019, we had the pleasure of interviewing Britain's very own Queen of the Blues, which is today's Podcast Of The Day. Indeed, since Elles hit the scene, this Bristol-based, multi-award-winning, genre-crossing performer, has built an enviable reputation as a live-touring artist and champion of live music, as well as recording hit albums, EPs and singles.
