Ryo Okumoto, long-time keyboard wizard for Prog Rock group Spock’s Beard, releases his new solo album, ‘The Myth of the Mostrophus’, on Friday 29th July on InsideOutMusic, a six song star-studded Prog extravaganza featuring Okumoto’s signature style accompanied by the talents of a who’s who of Progressive Rock, and his single, 'The Watchmaker', provides a tantalising taste of what is to come, with the heavy rhythm and searing guitar leads of Lyle Workman, along with the thundering bass of Dave Meros, both in perfect sync with the propulsive drumming of Jonathan Mover, underneath the unmistakably classic sounds of Okumoto's Hammond B3, Jupiter 8 and Minimoog synths, christened by the soaring vocals of album co-writer Michael Whiteman, which is also one of today's six of the best Wednesday Rocks!
