The Hitman Blues Band, featuring the awesome New York City Horns, played London's The Half Moon in Putney on Wednesday night, part of their 13-date UK tour that also took in Ramsgate's Red Arrow Music Club (new Video Of The Day) and ends at Eastleigh's The Concorde Club this Sunday 31st July, and thanks to WRC photographer Chris Griffiths, we have a great photo gallery today from an evening that he described as "a beautiful combination of so many Blues styles and a great fun band, to make something so enjoyable!" Indeed, following on from their hugely successful UK tour last year, the recent release of their seventh album, ‘Not My Circus, Not My Monkey', has gained critical acclaim across the world, making not only the US Billboard Blues charts, but also the Top 5 on the IBBA UK Blues Radio charts. They're without doubt a unique band playing modern original Blues for the 21st century and inspired versions of Blues classics. And if you haven't seen them before, then you really should make sure that you see them at Eastleigh!
