The Jack J Hutchinson Band (Track Of The Day) are the fourth band to be added to the 2016 BluesRockFest bill taking place at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend, on Saturday 24th September. Alongside headliners The Stevie Nimmo Trio, 2015 WRC Award winners The Mentulls and Red Butler - Hutchinson is a British blues guitarist and in 2015 he was nominated for a British Blues Award for Emerging Artist. He is also regularly part of the house band at London’s famous Ain’t Nothin’ But Blues bar. Remember that Earlybird Tickets are on sale now for a limited time here for £15 (instead of £20). If you love your ears then you will of course love today's Rock On The Ridge Track Of The Day! Turn it up loud as Bob and Jules play The Coral, Raveneye, Wolfmother, The Temperance Movement and Lenny Kravitz! There's also a track from Monster Truck (today's Vid Of The Day) taken from their new album 'Sittin' Heavy' out on Mascot Records on Friday 19th February who are also playing London's 100 Club on Tuesday 5th April!

Well what a great night Saturday night was at our first WRC Promotions gig of the year at Leos Red Lion, Gravesend. As expected Blues Man JV and his band blew the roof off The Red Lion - but the added bonus was the excellent support band The Unknown - so much so that we dipped into the WRC coffers and bought their first album 'Into The Unknown'. Following Saturday's news that the Rock On The Ridge team had won our 2015 'Best Radio Show' award - the following tweet said it all: "Thank you so much for all your support and helping us win Best radio show award @WRINKLYCLUB, Jules and I are lost for words". Well the guys deservedly celebrated on Saturday night, which of course was their first show of 2016. If you're looking for a gig then two of the bands we have recently showcased are playing in London tonight. First up - The Karena K Band (our Vid Of The Day) - who are part of our 'LastMinuteBandz' roster - are playing the Halfway House, Barnes, West London at 8pm. With a voice and classic writing style reminiscent of torch singers past, Kareña can belt out those Blues or sizzle with smoky Jazz vocals. Broken Witt Rebels - who we featured on our 'Introducing ...' page here are also gigging at The Water Rats in Grays Inn Road. And as a treat for all the punters going they've decided to sell their 'Georgia Pine' EP ahead of schedule. This is an exclusive as it will not be available again until release! Enjoy!

Dead by 1985, reborn in 2013, The Bronsons (today's Track Of The Day) are a six-piece high energy band playing loud, driven, fast and relentless London-style Pub-Rock garage-band Rhythm and Blues. One of the bands on our LastMinuteBandz roster, the guys are playing in London tonight at The Surya in Pentonville Road.

Today's Track Of The Day is this week's Black On Blues featuring tracks from the brilliant new album ‘God Don’t Never Change’. The album features cover songs from the legend that is Blind Willie Johnson by Lucinda Williams, Derek Trucks/Susan Tedeschi, Cowboy Junkies, Blind Boys of Alabama, Sinead O’Connor, Luther Dickinson, Lucinda Williams, Rickie Lee Jones, Tom Waits and The Soul of John Black.

Our thanks to bassist David Hoyle of The Welsh T Band (Our Vid Of The Day) for getting in touch with the WRC! As authentic a Blues sound as you'll find this side of a Mississippi road house - the guys are another welcome addition to our 'Introducing ...' feature here. Anyway, their development has been long and slow - and in lots of ways that's their real strength - they've paid dues by the bucketful! At the centre of The Welsh T Band is out-and-out front man Terry John (a.k.a. 'Welsh T'), ace guitar strangler Kevin Ackroyd, powerhouse drummer Dan Burnett and of course David!
