WRC favourite's The Pineapple Thief released their new album 'Your Wilderness' to critical acclaim worldwide on Friday 12th August with Porcupine Tree's Gavin Harrison no less on drums! Consequently today's Vid Of The Day is TPT frontman Bruce Soord in his home studio in Somerset performing an acoustic version of 'Tear You Up' - the third track from the album.

Following their wildly successful EP, ‘Breaking Out’, which debuted on Billboard’s Heatseeker chart, UK trio RavenEye are set to release their first album - NOVA - worldwide on Friday 23rd September via their new label, Frontiers Music Srl. Now they have announced a full UK tour including Islington Academy 2, London, on Tuesday 25th October, along with a brand new track – ‘Inside’ - which was premiered by Loudwire in the US – today's Track Of The Day. With songs filled with deep grooves and infectious hooks that invoke giants such as Led Zeppelin​ and Soundgarden​, the critical acclaim for RavenEye has been just as loud, having toured globally, supporting Slash, The Darkness​ and Halestorm amongst others. Given yesterday was officially Venues Day 2016 - it seemed appropriate last night that we were at the Islington Assembly Hall to see legendary Blues Rock guitarist and singer-songwriter, Robin Trower (pictured by Paul Clampin), best known for his 1974 milestone album “'Bridge of Sighs'”. It was Robin's penultimate gig on his current UK tour and his special guest was none other than BluesRockFest headliners the Stevie Nimmo Band. As expected, Trower’'s set included tracks from his latest album, “'Where You Are Going To”' plus of course 'BOS' and other classics such as 'Daydream' and 'See My Life'. Meanwhile it's back to the bread and butter stuff tonight for Rich as Black Market III take to the stage at the TNMC at the Comrades Club, 194 Brighton Road, Coulsdon, Greater London, CR5 2NF.

American Rock Band 3 Doors Down (pictured and Track Of The Day) have been added as the final artist to join Chris Stapleton, Kid Rock, Larry The Cable Guy, Luke Bryan and Travis Tritt to celebrate with Charlie Daniels at his 80th Birthday Volunteer Jam on Wednesday 30th November at the Bridgestone Arena, Nashville, Tennessee. 3 Doors Down, a Grammy Award®-nominated multiplatinum Mississippi Rock band known for hits like 'Kryptonite', 'When I’m Gone', 'Here Without You' and more will join Daniels on stage for what will be remembered as one of the best Volunteer Jams to date!

They didn't arrive on the Cargo, Shoreditch, stage on Wednesday night until 10.45pm - but the Natives were well worth waiting around for! The band were celebrating the recent release of their single ‘Stop The Rain’ which is taken from their forthcoming second album - heavily influenced by the band’s recent trip to Morocco, which inspired their huge tribal sound. "Havoc' emphasised the driving force of bass guitarist Møllen - who was literally massive in presence all night. And despite in some eyes the latest album being seen as a swing more towards Metal than Prog - this particular track kicked arse! And just to readdress the balance we were then taken back to title track '1st Chapter' and 'Glory' - a progtastic combination of the longest running songs from their very first album from May 2005 - honestly refreshing - and testament to their earlier incarnation and influences when they formed in 2000 gaining much credit for their versions of technically challenging tracks by top bands such as Dream Theater and Symphony X. Awesome. The question "Are you ready for love?" heralded 'Arrival Of Love' it's all-round 80's sound - with it's superb keys, guitar, vocals and harmonies - belying the fact that it was part of Isolate - recorded in August 2007. Mollen's bass opened the atmospheric newbie from 'Havoc' - 'Highest Bitter' - again with an Eastern edge - with Eriksen again excelling on vocals - one of the stand-out numbers of the night. And before we could catch our breath - the opening strains of the anthemic 'Architect Of Fortune' from 'Nine' rubbed our proverbial Prog noses in it - so perfectly constructed - with Eriksen conducting the Underworld faithful in a singalong - Haugen's guitar solo and the band's haunting close out providing the highlight of the night.
