Award-winning Blues-Rock guitarist Aynsley Lister has announced that his eighth studio album 'Eyes Wide Open' will be released on Friday 7th October on Straight Talkin’ Records. 'Eyes Wide Open' is the 2014 BluesFest headliner's magnum opus, which sees him confidently pursuing his own musical path. Self-assured, inventive and richly-textured, Aynsley brings his 18 years of hard touring, 11 album releases (eight studio and three live) and all his experience as a musician to fruition. Aynsley’s previous album, 2013’s 'Home' garnered the guitar ace both Songwriter of the Year and Song of the Year at the British Blues Awards. 'Eyes Wide Open' is a bold, confident and accessible slice of contemporary Blues-Rock that promises to bring Aynsley yet more accolades as well as introduce his genre-blending sound to a new audience, building on the 100,000 albums he’s already sold worldwide. Aynsley has just premiered the video for track one 'All Of Your Love' which is today's Vid Of The Day!

Unfortunately some us left it too late to get into to the Blues tent to see King King on Sunday - luckily enough for us, WRC member Steve Borkowski was down the front to shoot today's Vid Of The Day. Their last album 'Reaching For the Light' was selected in the Top 50 Albums of the year in both Classic Rock magazine and its sister publication The Blues Magazine. They continue to go from strength to strength - they toured with Thunder in February and headlined in May with support from the amazing Dan Patlansky. And on 30th September the band will release their first live CD/DVD!

Believe it or not it's now just 43 days and counting to this year's BluesRockFest at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend, on Saturday 24th September. Today we not only focus on 2014 WRC Award winner Robin Bibi (Track Of The Day) - who will be playing an acoustic set in the bar - but we also turn our attention to Robin's sponsor - Radio Seagull 1602AM! Anyway better late than never to introduce you to a powerful Rock trio, who's Rock Blues style counts the influence of Gary Moore and have toured and shared the stage with such bands as Nazareth, Bad Company, Nine Below Zero, Uriah Heep, Saxon, Wishbone Ash,, Girls School, Budgie, Man, Vampire Rock, Deborah Bonham, Maggie Bell and Stray! The guys are also gigging tonight at The Fountain, 29 Southgate, Chichester, West Sussex PO19 1ES and tomorrow at The Wheatsheaf, 22-24 Richmond Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1PP. Consequently they are today's Track Of The Day!

It was good to have Route 66 host Rory Auskerry back 'Rockin' & Jockin' last Sunday given he was live on air just a few hours after a 14 hour flight back from Thailand where he has been helping to look after his brother Owen who suffered a brain aneurysm on 13th January. Well he's back here tonight at 6pm including a stormer from The Treatment which is today's Vid Of The Day. Ex-Argent vocalist/guitarist Russ Ballard has written some of the most iconic Rock tracks of the past four decades. The list of artists, other than himself, to have recorded his songs includes Kiss, Rainbow, Skindred, Three Dog Night, Santana, Hot Chocolate, Roger Daltrey, America, Elkie Brooks, Agneyha Falltkog and Anni-Frid Lynstad from ABBA, Colin Blunstone, Ace Frehley, The Sweet, Bay City Rollers, Barry Ryan and The Shadows, to name but a few! A great raconteur with many interesting and funny stories, 'An Evening With Russ Ballard' saw Russ expertly interviewed by Mike Read plus taking questions from the audience, as well as playing some of his hits acoustically and explaining how they came to be written. Throw in for good measure Special Guests Brian May, Kerry Ellis, Rick Wakeman and Bob Henrit with 'Since You Been Gone', 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You' (Vid Of The Day), 'Hold Your Head Up' - this was certainly a unique brilliant night that took place at the Leicester Square Theatre, London, last night. Wednesday's tweet from the organisers of Ramblin' Man Fair - "#RMFair16 #rambleon #ramblinmanfair 1st Release! Keep an eye open for 2nd Release next week!" - revealed a very impressive line-up including Whitesnake, Europe, Walter Trout, King King and Uriah Heep. Next year's event over the weekend of the 23rd and 24th July - held again at Mote Park, Maidstone - will also include Ginger Wildheart, Procul Harum, Hawkwind, Hayseed Dixie and Lifesigns.

Led by JD Simo, the Nashville rock trio have been personally recommended by Joe Bonamassa praising “Old school to the max and playing vintage guitars!!
