- Underworld Rocks Out! 9/11/15
"Well headliners Crobot are an American hard rock band from Pottsville, Pennsylvania, composed of Brandon Yeagley (vocals/harmonica) , Chris Bishop (guitar), Jake Figueroa (bass) and brother Paul Figueroa (drums). Their album 'Something Supernatural' smacks of Creed, Wolfmother and Velvet Revolver - so it was fitting that they launched proceedings with 'The Legend Of The Spaceborne Killer' - testament that there was going to be no let up in the intensity of the evening. Other 'SS' tracks were lapped up by the Crobot faithful particularly the classy 'Skull Of Geronimo', 'Le Mano de Lucifer', 'Nowhere To Hide' and the brilliant 'The Queen Of The Light'. Yeagley's vocals, stage presence (and harmonica on 'The Necromancer') were immense, Jake's antics were reminiscent of Animal from The Muppets playing bass, Bishop is literally huge (and more importantly plays a mean guitar) whilst Paul's driving drums pulled it all together. - Rock That Bell! 24/10/15
After their excursion into Sussex last week The Replicants are back on home ground this Saturday when they play The Lower Bell in Aylesford for the first time. The guys are of course gearing up for Wrinklystock IV where they will support the amazing T.Rextasy at our annual charity gig at The Mick Jagger Centre in Dartford on Saturday 21st November. Watch out for news on their final setlist which has been auctioned off for charity shortly. And why are they the support? Why not find out by turning off the X Factor and get down to the Bell for a rocking evening - entry is free with The Reps due on stage at 9pm!
- Liam Flies Out Of The Traps! 22/10/15
All roads led to Sussex last Saturday as The Replicants left the comfort of their back yard for Crawley! Why you may ask - well they had agreed to let fourteen year-old Liam O’Kane play drums on a couple of their numbers and that’s where he lives – simples! The Greyhound kindly offered to host the gig (many thanks Caz) and a source close to the WRC said that Liam was so nervous he hadn’t eaten all day! So after The Replicants had suitably more than warmed up the crowd it was all eyes on Liam! And if he was nervous then he certainly didn’t show it as he ripped into 'Smoke On The Water', 'Ace Of Spades' – (our Vid Of The Day that provoked a "f**k yeah" from one punter), 'Lil Devil' and unbelievably The Replicants signature finale 'Rebel Yell' which we understand he hadn’t rehearsed! There was no stopping him now as the crowd called for more and Liam insisted on 'Tush'!!! A great night and many thanks to the guys as usual for entering into the spirit of things!
- Ryan Bingham Photo Gallery Available 26/10/15
"They finally let the handbrake off the engine for the encore with a cover of the Stones' 'Rip This Joint', the slide of the awesome Dead Horses 'Sunshine' and finally the stand out acoustic Horses number from his Borderline gig 'Bread and Water'. To be fair the appreciative audience lapped it up but for mine, unexpectedly, it didn't hit the heights of the intimacy and touching personal anecdotes of The Borderline in February nor the first time we saw Ryan and The Dead Horses rock out at Hyde Park over four years ago. Still a great night though." Go to the Ryan Bingham Photo Gallery here and read the rest of AJ's review here!
- Busman's Holiday! 2 September 2015
After the Bank Holiday and as promised - normal service has resumed on the website we hope today. Anyway, another of one of those WRC "You Couldn't Make It Up" moments occurred during AJ's well earned mini-cruise over the weekend. Although he was expecting the West-End show 'We Will Rock You' to be part of the ship's entertaintment - he nearly choked on his cornflakes when he saw that our old muckers The Counterfeit Stones were also performing that night! Despite the fact there was no Brian Jones or Mick Taylor - there was of course Nick Dagger (pictured) and Bill Hymen! Today's Vid Of The Day gives you a flavour of what they are all about and for another one of those WRC "You Couldn't Make It Up" moments just ask us about the possibility of the Counterfeit's playing Wrinklystock at The Mick Jagger Centre!

- Billy Walton Band Currently Touring UK 22/1/16
Newly named in the 2015 British Blues Awards in the top three of the Overseas Artist category, New Jersey's Billy Walton Band (photo: Amber Charach) tour of the UK started on Wednesday and ends on Tuesday 2nd February at The Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst, Kent. Their recent album 'Wish For What You Want' on Vizztone Records won the band new critical acclaim and memorable reviews - their sound a combination of hard, funky Blues reminiscent of Hendrix, Clapton and Vaughan. As guitarist with the legendary group Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Billy Walton recorded with Little Steven and jammed with Jon Bon Jovi. Billy has sat in with numerous rock luminaries including Bruce Springsteen, Gary U.S. Bonds, and Stevie Ray Vaughan's band, Double Trouble. The full, six-piece touring band comprises Billy, bassist William Paris, Tom Petracarro on sax, Matt Fischer on trombone, drummer Johnny D'Angelo, and Sam Sherman on keyboards. A new live album is imminent and a new studio album is in the works.

- Different Shades Of Blues! 20 March 2015
Despite suffering with a chest infection, Joe Bonamassa stormed into the Hammersmith Apollo for the second of his four London gigs last night - so it was definitely a case of 'Live From Somewhere In Particular'. To be fair the jury has been out on Joe recently given the relentless JB juggernaut of new releases going hand in hand perhaps with the prohibitive cost to some of his Apollo tickets. Has Joe - and no pun intended - come to a 'Crossroads?'. We can always hark back to 2008 when we all walked out of the Shepherds Bush Empire with the biggest smiles on our faces for many a year after seeing Bonamassa for the first time - but hey things have to move on. Anyway, find out what our take was with a review and more pics out shortly. In the meantime - despite being taken up in the Gods - Joe naturally is our 'Video Of The Day'!
- Bowness Bay Blues Kicks Off Today! 27 March 2015
The fourth Bowness Bay Blues Weekend starts today with WRC Award winner Robin Bibi (pictured) on at the Hydro Hotel between 8.30pm and 9.45pm. Sunday headliners David Migden and the Twisted Roots also represented the UK at the 2014 European Blues Challenge in Riga. Tickets are still on sale here from The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. Anyway our 'Track Of The Day' is Robin performing at Bluesfest 2014 - part of a double DVD/CD that is still available from our merchandise page here!
