Ex-Argent vocalist/guitarist Russ Ballard has written some of the most iconic Rock tracks of the past four decades. The list of artists, other than himself, to have recorded his songs includes Kiss, Rainbow, Skindred, Three Dog Night, Santana, Hot Chocolate, Roger Daltrey, America, Elkie Brooks, Agneyha Falltkog and Anni-Frid Lynstad from ABBA, Colin Blunstone, Ace Frehley, The Sweet, Bay City Rollers, Barry Ryan and The Shadows, to name but a few! A great raconteur with many interesting and funny stories, 'An Evening With Russ Ballard' saw Russ expertly interviewed by Mike Read plus taking questions from the audience, as well as playing some of his hits acoustically and explaining how they came to be written. Throw in for good measure Special Guests Brian May, Kerry Ellis, Rick Wakeman and Bob Henrit with 'Since You Been Gone', 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You' (Vid Of The Day), 'Hold Your Head Up' - this was certainly a unique brilliant night that took place at the Leicester Square Theatre, London, last night.
