Well the good news is that our good friends the Laura Holland Band are playing tonight at the Tuesday Night Music Club at The Comrades Club, 194 Brighton Road, Coulsdon, Greater London, CR5 2NF. The bad news (although not for mein host Richard Dunning) is that, not surprisingly, the gig has sold out! But the good news is that we have the next best thing to seeing the guys live - our 2014 BluesFest DVD/CD here for sale on our merchandise page which of course includes part of Laura's outstanding set!

Also appearing at the Bowness Bay Blues on Sunday 20th March 2016 are our mates The John Verity Band. And with Friday 25th December on the horizon, JV has a new Xmas EP available here. JV told us "We chose some slightly rude, but funny tracks this time to make you chuckle this Yuletide whilst enjoying your Blues..." Meanwhile JV's next gig is an acoustic set with Russell Rodford (Jim's son) this Saturday 14th November at The 2 Brewers at Northaw, Potters Bar - starting at 8.30pm.

Great to get to some feedback, including a message from Ottowa no less, on our last 'Introducing ....' feature on Ali Clinton. "Thanks for sharing Ali Clinton vid. New fan here. Nice to see Electric Blues still alive with younger generations". Anyway today we're delighted to introduce Lily Tonico as our 'Track Of The Day' thanks to our old mate Ken Canty who has been playing guitar on some of Lily's stuff. Lily's spent the last two years co-writing, collaborating and recording demos and now feels the time is right for others to experience what she has spent so much time nurturing. Therefore just chill out on this Sunday, listen and enjoy.

There's no doubt it was worth the wait for our 'Video Of The Day' and Little Devils 'My Perfect Year' - which is a brilliant new track to be featured on their up and coming album. Richard Dunning's latest show not only includes a chat with Ruby Tiger ahead of her show with Ruby & The Revelators at the TNMC last week, but also Richard exclusively reveals the six finalists in the 'Band Of The Year' category in this years British Blues Awards - which the TNMC is sponsoring!

Rebecca Downes, one of the most hotly tipped rising stars, joins Richard Dunning live in the Croydon Radio studio here at 5pm tonight! Ahead of her showcase appearance at The Tuesday Night Music Club, The Hooley Village Club, St. Margarets Road, Hooley Village, Coulsdon, London CR5 3RB (straight after the show) - they'll be chatting about all manner of things and playing some music specially selected by her. As well as playing of course some select cuts from her hit album, 'Back To The Start'. No doubt Richard will also squeeze in some of the fabulous new music that's coming along and give you all the latest news about The Blues!

"Pretty awesome" was Rockrpix photographer John Bull's take on Kenny Wayne Shepherd's Shepherds Bush gig on Wednesday night which is our 'Video Of The Day'. As expected John's pics are pretty awesome as well including some great shots of support Ben Poole. The WRC are delighted to report that ex-Tea For The Wicked frontman 'Arfa Roach's' (Steve Hemingway) memorial gig at The Golden Lion, Loughton, last Saturday, raised over £250 in aid of St. Clare Hospice where he spent his last days. On the night it was a case of 'Three For The Wicked' with Steve's daughter Libby guesting on a couple of songs plus 2014 Bluefest openers The Tea Project, Deviant Amps and Nukli. Not only would the organisers like to thank the bands but also everyone who helped with gear, raffle tickets and all the lugging etc! Anyway, well done to those concerned - and as tribute to you all - we dedicate our 'Track Of The Day' - classic 'TFTW'!

BluesRockfest's Albany Down have started recording their third album! Apparently seven tracks have already been done and it's sounding fantastic. Indeed Bass guitarist Billy Dedman (pictured) has written a step by step account here of their recording session at Modern World Studios in Tetbury, England. There are also some pictures and a couple of short videos - one of which is our 'Video Of The Day'.
