Members are reminded that they can use their cards to get discounted £9 admission at The Eel Pie Club tomorrow night (Thursday 5th February) to see the magnificent American blues vocalist, Kathleen (Kat) Pearson. Doors open at 8.30pm at the venue at The Patch, 67 London Road, Twickenham TW1 3SZ, with Kat due on stage between 9pm and 11pm. To become a WRC member simply go here. Kat & Co. is a vibrant collaboration between Kat, guitarist Francesco Accurso and pianist Federico Parodi with Ettore Virgillito on bass and Nicholas Owsianka on drums. Between them they have created a contemporary image to The Blues with an authentic personal sound that creates an infectious energy that enthralls their audiences.

With all the news coming out of Wrinkly Towers it's easy to forget that WRC Promotions have two bands - The Replicants and Stone Blind who are gearing up for a busy 2015 and gigs are already being booked. The first time the WRC saw Black Sabbath was at the Killburn Gaumont State in London in November 1975. We were six rows from the front and our ears are still ringing! The last time we saw Sabbath was at British Summer Time in Hyde Park in 2014. Well Ozzy and the boys are headlinining 'The Lemmy Stage' at Download tonight and we will be there as we also attempt to take in Inglorious (Vid Of The Day), Scorpion Child, Megadeth and Skindred. Give us a shout if you are also going!

It was good to hear recently from our old mucker Wrinkly The Silver Fox who also saw AC/DC at London's Olympic Park last Saturday night. Not only did WTSF go with Replicants lead guitarist Stu O'Brien (hope your head is better now Stu) but a few days later he also went to see Foreigner at the London Palladium - check out his excellent pics here.

We announced last Sunday news of another WRC Promotion featuring Broken Witt Rebelshere at The Proud, Camden on Thursday 20th October. In the past few weeks, the buzz around the self-released, Birmingham Blues Rock band has reached a deafening roar. So much so that the band have rushed out new single 'Guns' to capitalize on fan driven interest. It all started when a live version of previous single 'Low' was uploaded to their Facebook page, within four days the video had amassed an impressive 130,000 views. This caught the attention of viral content geniuses Buzzfeed, who invited the band into their offices to play a live streamed gig for their 1.3m strong Facebook group, part of their Music Breaks Series. Just when it seemed like it couldn’t get any better, the 'Guns' video was elevated to the front page of YouTube - the video amassing over 100,000 views in less than one day!

Teenage guitar sensation Aaron Keylock has announced upcoming main support tours with The Answer on their 'Rise 10th Anniversary' shows on May 24th/25th. Every now and then an artist comes along that blows you away and Aaron has fast been cementing his reputation as one of the most exciting and brightest young talent’s in the UK. A mesmerising live performer with over 200 shows to his name; he has already played with Blackberry Smoke, The Cadillac Three, The Graveltones, Dan Patlansky as well as blistering sets at Bloodstock in 2014 plus Ramblin’ Man Fair, Dot to Dot and Download Festivals last year. Aaron is currently writing his debut album for the Mascot Label Group, home to Black Stone Cherry, Joe Bonamassa, Monster Truck, SIMO, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Beth Hart and Walter Trout.

This week's Black On Blues Track Of The Day features another set of tracks from new albums sent to the blackonblues studios! Today's playlist includes Robin Trower (pictured), Waydown Wailers, Mark Cameron, Jon Spear Band, Guy King, Dennis Jones and Matthew J Ritchie.

"One of British Blues very finest acts was Cream - Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce. Their famous and iconic songs were co-written by Pete Brown, and Pete put the stamp of history on the night as well as producing a very fine musical performance. Belying his years, Pete sang with fire and humour, including songs from his personal musical repertoire, but fittingly closing the evening with 'White Room' and 'Sunshine Of Your Love'. Pleasingly, a member of Jack Bruce's family was present and said it was "...a fab night. I enjoyed myself in what was a fun entertaining show." Todays Track Of The Day sees the return of The Marshman after his sabbatical at the Broadstairs Blues Bash last weekend. Kev's latest Blues On The Marsh extravaganza includes LastMinuteBandz's Sugarman Sam and the Voodoo Men (pictured), Danny Bryant, Swampgrass and according to Mr. Beale - the stand-out act from BBB - Catfish - who are of course are on our BluesRockFest bill in September here.

Performing an acoustic set away from the main stage, Robin joins headliners The Stevie Nimmo Trio, 2015 WRC Award winners The Mentulls, Red Butler, Jack J Hutchinson, Catfish Blacktop Deluxe and Born Healer.
