‘Resurrection', the new album from Operation: Mindcrime (today's Vid Of The Day), the brainchild of legendary vocalist Geoff Tate, is set for a worldwide release on Friday 23rd September. ‘Resurrection' is the second part of a musical trilogy from iconic metal vocalist Tate, exactly a year after the release of his new group's debut album ’The Key'. Operation: Mindcrime continues in the spirit of the historic album of the same name, spawning concepts as grand as the music, and intertwining the intensity of the former Queensrÿche vocalist’s iconic past with the provocative, Progressive mindset that has made him one of music's most resolute forces and frontmen.

King King have recently received critical acclaim for their current album 'Reaching For The Light' and have been nominated 'Best New Band' at this year’s Classic Rock Awards. On Monday night they also called in at London’s Maida Vale Studios to record a session for BBC Radio 2’s The Paul Jones Blues Show. So the WRC decided to head on down last night to the Islington O2 Academy to see what all the fuss is about plus the bonus of seeing special guest Ben Poole (pictured by John Bull last night) as support!
