    Hands up if anyone is going to see AC/DC in Paris tonight? The bad news is that the WRC won't be there - even worse news is that their American Independence Day Wembley gig clashes with BluesRockfest - but don't worry - Gravesend is going to be a blast! Anyway, let's turn back the clock to the last time we saw AC/DC just over six years ago at Wembley - when we took our life in our hands in the mosh pit - with our Vid Of The Day (we were just to the right)!

  • Little Devils Top Of The Charts! 5 June 2015

    There are not only one but two BluesRockfest bands in the latest Independent Blues Broadcasters Association (UK) Top Fifty Most Played Albums for May 2015. 2014 WRC Award winners Little Devils are top of the pops with their new album 'The Storm Inside' whilst The Rainbreakers are bubbling under at number 37 with 'Blood Not Brass'. And you can tune in here at 7pm tonight to one of those IBBA broadcasters - none other than 'The Marshman' himself - Kevin Beale! Meanwhile our Track Of The Day - although not up to IBBA standards - is our latest Wrinklycast showcasing all the bands at BluesRockfest!

    On this week's Route 66 Rory Auskerry plays new unreleased tracks from Royal Southern Brotherhood, Spin Doctors and Erja Lyytinen. Our Track Of the Day also includes Kenny Wayne Shepherd (pictured) plus Rory celebrates birthdays for Bob Seger, Alex Van Halen and John 'Rhino' Edwards of Status Quo.   • Sick Of Being Good? 18 April 2015

    Meanwhile, the David Sinclair Four is taking part in Record Store Day once again! They will be performing live today at 1.30pm at David's Music, Eastcheap, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire SG6 3DE and tomorrow at 3.30pm at Sound Knowledge, High Street, Marlborough, Wiltshire SN8 1LT. Also to celebrate the release of their new album '4', the band is booked to play an historic Album Launch show at The Borderline, London WC1 on Thursday 14th May with support from the mighty Morrissey & Marshall.     With the first Birthday of wrinklyrockersclub.com just over a week away - the WRC were delighted to reach another landmark yesterday when we passed the 1,000 followers mark on Twitter. This welcome news also coincided with a very kind tweet from Chantel McGregor on receiving news of her 'Best Acoustic' WRC Award: "@WRINKLYCLUB thank you so much for my acoustic award... Off to write more acoustic songs this year!!! Hugs to everyone xxx" Of course our previous website wrinklyrockersclub.co.uk was launched at the end of December 2010 and to celebrate our first birthday we will be resurrecting part of the 2010-2014 Wrinkly archives over the coming months!

    Anybody who posts on our Facebook page "We're Wrinkly" will ultimately be rewarded! Step forward Black Whiskey - the latest band in our 'Introducing ....' feature with roots firmly entrenched in those classic sounds of the seventies and early eighties but these guys have been involved in diverse styles over the years. Their music sounds fresh and modern but stays true to the blueprint! Consisting of Simon Gordon on vocals, Kev Ingles on guitar, Mark T. Parkin on bass and Rich Bannister on drums - it's no surprise that bands like Zeppelin, Free, Purple, UFO, Schenker, Scorpions, Lizzy and Rainbow are all huge influences and this is hugely evident in the music they make!

    The 'King Of Tone', US guitar legend Leslie West joined Rory Auskerry for an interview on this week's Route 66 show. Listen to our Track Of The Day as they discuss Leslie's band Mountain, The Vagrants and West, Bruce & Laing. Leslie also talks openly about his disability, getting clean and the fun he had recording tracks with The Who, Joe Bonamassa and Brian May. Also on the show are new tracks from the Dead Daisies, Def Leppard, Within Temptation and Jared James Nichols plus there's music from Motley Crue, Billy Gibbons and The BFG's, Albert Cummings, Queen & Paul Rodgers, The Rolling Stones and more.

  • For Vinnie The Rock Dog ... RIP 20/10/15

    Saturday's Rock On The Ridge tweet said it all: "On the show tonight @Crobotband @TheRainbreakers @rivalsons @Stryper a track for Vinnie who's left us Monday RIP" Yes sadly Bob and Jules' Staffie Vinny - who occassionally joined them live in the studio on Saturday night's - passed away last Monday. Therefore today's Track Of The Day not includes great music from The Rainbreakers, Whitesnake, Joe Bonamassa, Wolfmother plus dedications to AJ (Crobot) and Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd's guitarist who suffered a heart attack last week) - but there's also a special track for Vinnie the Rock Dog (RIP) - Led Zeppelin's 'Black Dog' of course!
