Chicago rockers Trip 6 release their new album 'Spit', on Friday 6th November via Dark Star Records, and they have recently released their first single taken from the album, 'Terrorizer'. With major influences such as Black Sabbath, Slayer, Pantera and Motorhead, to name but a few, Trip 6 is heavy hitting right out of the gates. Trip 6 lineup with Victor Pedraza, aka Vulgar Vic, the destroyer of drum sets with his hard pounding beats, plus Chicago’s own Kevin Munster, aka The Show, so if you like a deep throbbing Geezer Butler bassline, Kevin is your guy. Complemented by Philadelphia's Nate DeVan adding creative lyrics and a killer front man style, plus Tim Matlock showcasing his hard core riffs that will grab you instantly, indeed if you mix it all up, you get an incredible sound, reflecting a modern touch to old school Metal!

Yesterday, London based Blues Rock power trio, Trident Waters, released their second single, and today's Video Of The Day, 'Six Feet Under', via Roulette Records, taken from their forthcoming album due next year. Since the self release of their last EP, ‘Hollywood to Vegas’, in June last year, the debut album from Andrew Knightley (vocals/guitar), Wilson Zaidan (bass) and Greg Zaka (drums), has been eagerly awaited. Indeed, the single is the first to be mixed by Kevin Shirley, which has a swaggering groove full of expressive interludes and an anthemic chorus which is epic yet direct. The band are currently scheduled to perform at a number of 2021 festivals including Hard Rock Hell and Ramblin' Man Fair, plus they are also special guests on The Quireboys September 2021 tour.

Tonight, Classic Hard Blues Rockers Voodoo Lake are playing The Cavern Freehouse, 100 Coombe Lane, Raynes Park, London SW20 0AY at 8pm sharp, finishing at 9.45pm. It's free entry, so expect some originals and some covers, but get there early as Covid-19 guidelines restrict capacity to 50 people with today's newly announced Tier Two protocols in place.

Last Friday, Samantha Martin & Delta Sugar released their new single, and today's Video Of The Day, ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’, taken from their upcoming studio album, ‘The Reckless One’, which in turn is due to be released by Gypsy Soul Records on Friday 20th November. With the worldwide pandemic wrecking utter havoc upon the careers of many musicians, the band elected to use their time off the road to record, their latest tour-de-force. The astonishingly powerful, funky and deeply soulful, highly anticipated new album, is the follow-up to 2018’s Juno-nominated 'Run To Me'. 'The Reckless One' represents another massive step forward for Samantha as a songwriter, singer, arranger and band leader. Eleven of the album’s twelve songs were either co-written or solely composed by the multi-faceted artist. Indeed, her music embodies Roots, Blues, Blues Rock, Soul, R&B, including a dash of Motown – performed by an ensemble of amazing musicians at the top of their game.

- More Bands Unveiled For Rescheduled HRH XIV 15/10/20
Hard Rock Hell have revealed five more bands that have beeen added to the line-up for HRH XIV, that takes place next year at Camp HRH over the weekend of 4th-7th November! Axe legend Adrian Vandenberg, the rejuvenated Black Spiders, Northern Ireland stars Screaming Eagles plus Piston and Y!kes, have all been confirmed to play this showcase event. In more great news, the refurbishment of the Great Yarmouth site over the Winter period means they can release 25 more accommodation units plus a small number of regular tickets for the rescheduled event – these will be like gold dust so grab yours now!

The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band will be releasing their first ever live concert video, 'Straight To You: Live', on Friday 27th November via Provogue, of which the opener, 'Woman Like You', is today's Video Of The Day. This show took place last year at the famous Leverkusen Jazzstage for the iconic German TV show, Rockpalast on 25th November, following the release of 'The Traveler' album in May, although the 'Traveler World Tour' was interrupted when the Covid-19 pandemic broke. Indeed, the release of 'Straight To You: Live' comes during a time when there is no live music and the world looks a very different place to a year ago, and as the seven-piece Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band bow out on a phenomenal finale of Jimi Hendrix's 'Voodoo Child (Slight Return)', they wave goodbye to the cheering crowd that reignites that love of live music and the hope that is to come.

Folk-legend and political activist Billy Bragg has announced that he will tour the UK and Ireland in the Autumn next year, having similarly been on that road last year on his epic ‘One Step Forward, Two Steps Back’ tour. Regarded as a valuable statesman, Bragg has been a fearless recording artist, tireless live performer and peerless political campaigner for over 35 years. Having released twelve studio albums, Billy was also honoured with the PRS Outstanding Contribution to British Music award at the Ivor Novello awards in May 2018.

Jakko M Jakszyk's enforced sabbatical from King Crimson has given him the opportunity to complete a new solo album, 'Secrets & Lies', due to be released next week on Friday 23rd October, of which the third single, ‘Uncertain Times’, has recently been released, complete with today's Video Of The Day featuring comedian Al Murray. 'Secrets & Lies' contains ten songs that balances sensitive writing, musical technique and accessible tunes cast in an impressively cinematic sound world. The result is a mature work brimming with yearning melodies in symphonic or widescreen settings, fluid guitar work, and Jakko’s heartfelt, emotional vocals. Jakszyk is joined by bandmates Robert Fripp, Gavin Harrison, Tony Levin and Mel Collins, as well as appearances from John Giblin (Peter Gabriel), Mark King (Level 42) and Peter Hammill (Van der Graff Generator).
