- Alter Bridge Walk The Sky 7/11/20
Yesterday, Alter Bridge released their 'Walk The Sky 2.0' stream only EP, featuring a new song written during the Covid-19 lockdown, and today's Track Of The Day, 'Last Rites', plus six live tracks! Since the band announced the cancellation of their entire 2020 touring schedule, Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips begin sharing ideas for a new studio song. Not only that, but the band hunkered down to review recordings from their shows that took place earlier this year, selecting a few live versions of their favourite tracks from their latest album, 'Walk The Sky'.
- When Rivers Meet CD Review 6/11/20
"Shaken, not stirred. Well, the husband-and-wife team of Grace and Arron Bond have just done that by breaking into the Planet Rock radio playlist. It’s no easy feat for an independent act to break into a station that goes for a certain type of sound that is dominated by the 70’s/80’s heavyweights such as the likes of Deep Purple or Bon Jovi. Their recently released toe tapper of a single, ‘Battleground’, is the song pulling the punches.” Today read the first of our Lockdown #2 album reviews, as Geoff C. gives you his take here on When Rivers Meet's debut 'We Fly Free', that's due to be released on Friday 20th November via One Road Records, of which 'Battleground' is today's Video Of The Day.

- Billy Wasting Time 6/11/20
An independent Pop troubadour, well on his way to the peak of his power, singer/songwriter Billy Lockett returns, bold and reflective with his beautiful new single ‘Wasting Time’, which is out next Friday 13th November. Lyrically, the track explores those feelings and helpless moments, just after a painful relationship split. Written and recorded straight after such an event, Billy captured that heart-wrenching feeling on tape, showcasing his deeply candid approach to music making, as classical piano flourishes and lush string arrangements bolster the myriad of emotions which he has captured through his vocal performance. ‘Wasting Time’ follows the hugely successful album of modern classic piano compositions entitled ‘Together At Home’. Released in June this year, the one-off project was inspired by the enforced period of isolation during lockdown, boasting stunning reworkings of some of Billy’s most popular tracks alongside brand-new compositions. The new single also marks the start of a new chapter for the Northampton native, in advance of the release of his forthcoming EP, slated for next year.

- Back To One 5/11/20
Today's Video Of The Day is yesterday's high-impact 'Back To One' release from Dublin Rock-trio Dirty Power, a real punchy/gritty number, all done with a straight-ahead, DIY approach. The riff-driven sophomore single's raw approach, is described by the band as an absolute favourite set-closer at live shows. It follows on from the band's Spring release, 'Oh God', and is the final piece of their 'Notions' 5-part EP puzzle. Driven by a creative, original Punk ethic, in everything from the writing, recording and release process, to approaching performing and touring, think one giant influenced melting pot of Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine.

In order to celebrate their recent signing to Mascot Records, Levara have revealed the first song, and today's Track Of The Day, ‘Heaven Knows’, from the band’s forthcoming debut studio album, due out next year. Collectively, their musical union, merged in Los Angeles, brings life to the individual talents of three musicians. Indeed, it started life as that difficult second album, but featured what would become the permanent line-up of vocalist Benji Webbe, bassist Daniel Pugsley, guitarist Mikey Demus and drummer Arya Goggin. The re-release follows the recent announcement of next year's UK Showtime Tour, planned for September/October, where they will be joined by very special guests Royal Republic, that stops off at London's Roundhouse on Saturday 2nd October.
