  • Reaching For The Sky 23/11/20

    Transatlantic, the Prog supergroup of Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, Roine Stolt and Pete Trewavas, have shared today's Video Of The Day for new single, ‘Overture/Reaching For The Sky’, which is taken from their new album ‘The Absolute Universe’, set for release next year on Friday 5th February via InsideOutMusic. Representing the band’s first release since 2014's Progressive Music Awards Album Of The Year, ‘Kaleidoscope’, the band have not only created two versions of the record: ‘The Absolute Universe: The Breath Of Life (Abridged Version)’ and ‘The Absolute Universe: Forevermore (Extended Version)’, but also ‘The Absolute Universe: The Ultimate Edition’, which collects both versions together in one lavish package. Transatlantic were originally formed in 1999, releasing their debut album ‘SMTPe’ the following year. During their world tour in 2010 they appeared at London's High Voltage Festival where they were joined by legendary Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett.

  • JV Backstage! 23/11/20

    2012 WRC 'Best Blues' award winner, John Verity, has recently created a Private Facebook Group for doing exclusive live streams available only to those with a JV Backstage Pass. It's a great way to keep in touch during these crazy times, though it will of course be an ongoing project. Most of the stuff JV will be sharing will be exclusive live videos, chats, recordings, tips and tricks, plus opportunities to recommend material for recordings and the live show. And once JV gets back on the road, there'll be special exclusive band performances and backstage antics, plus VIP access to soundchecks/meet and greets.     Within Temptation’s brand new single, ‘The Purge’, has just been released across all major streaming platforms, and is today's Track Of The Day. It’s a full-throttle Rock song, heavy and dramatic with an addictive chorus, and contains elements of the classic Within Temptation sound, whilst pushing forward into new sonic territory. ‘The Purge’ follows the release of their hit, ‘Entertain You’, a song that marked the beginning of a series of digital single releases and exceeded all expectations.

  • Playing For Likes 22/11/20

    Today’s Video Of The Day is the recently released kick-ass single, ‘Playing for Likes’, from Tempe, Arizona’s, Just Tommy, with both the song and video having a message that highlights avid users of all social media platforms, but it could be applied to other aspects of life as well. The single was produced by super Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian (Pop Evil, Soundgarden, Tantric) at legendary Pearl Sound Studios (Asking Alexandria, Eminem, Filter), and the inspiration behind the video, shot in Phoenix, is in the name, with Just Tommy having some fun with his family.

  • Midnight Igloo 22/11/20

    Portuguese Indie-R&B artist, Midnight Ambassador, has rounded off 2020 with the release of his brand new 5-part EP ‘Fragile Igloo’, with a brand new music video of the single, ‘Superstitions’, set for release this Friday 27th November. His EP is a fast paced, percussion heavy, foley filled and synth driven collection telling the story of his difficult move to London, from dreams, through to finally finding his home. Inspired by artists such as Childish Gambino, Mac Miller and Glass Animals; André Graca aka Midnight Ambassador, showcases a seamless blend of contemporary R&B, Indie and Pop, and to date has achieved numerous streaming-hit releases, receiving worldwide media acclaim and radio support, plus multiple lock-down live-streams, nationwide shows and international festival appearances.

  • Back From Behind The Sun 22/11/20

    Janey Smith, previously known as Janey Bombshell, is the new lead singer of Critically acclaimed British Rock band Iconic Eye, and Janey makes her debut when they release their new EP, ‘Back From Behind The Sun', on Friday 4th December, of which the title track is today’s Track Of The Day.The five-track EP was recorded at M2 Studios in Coven, West Midlands, and features a cover of Jefferson Starship’s ‘Jane’, plus four original songs co-written mainly by guitarist Greg Dean and Janey. Iconic Eye first burst onto the Rock scene in 2015 when they self-released their debut album, ‘Hidden in Plain Sight’.In 2017, the band made the bold move to become female fronted, lifting their existing songs and creating the right environment for the band to start writing again. The band’s second album, ‘Into The Light’, was first released via Skyfire Records in November 2017.

  • King King February 2021 UK Tour Rescheduled 21/11/20

    Due to the pandemic and uncertainty when live concerts can take please, regretfully the decision has been made to reschedule the King King February 2021 UK Tour to February 2022. All tickets remain valid for the new dates. The band release their 10-track fifth studio album 'Maverick' next Friday 27th November via Channel 9 Music – King King’s new independent label. 'Maverick' follows 2017’s critically acclaimed album 'Exile & Grace' and includes the new line-up featuring Alan Nimmo (vocals/guitar), Stevie Nimmo (guitar), Jonny Dyke (organ/piano), Zander Greenshields (bass) and Andrew Scott (drums).

  • Give It Time 21/11/20

    2019 WRC ‘One’s To Watch’ award winners Daxx & Roxane have released a time shifted new music video for their song 'Give It Time', which is today’s Track Of The Day. Given the song’s title, the kick-ass four-piece Rock ’n’ Roll band originating from Switzerland, thought that playing with the dynamics and time would be fun, and many parts were actually shot at twice the speed, and then slowed down to the actual tempo. Not only that, but they also invited the brilliant Evie Brown to join them and perform some pretty amazing dance moves, with Evie representing the girl in the lyrics of the song.

    Despite everything that's going on at the moment, that leap of faith planning to bring the cream of NWOCR bands together early next year, has certainly paid off for Hard Rock Hell, as this exciting new event, currently scheduled to take place over the weekend of 23rd and 24th January at the O2 Academy, Leicester, has sold out! It's going to be a two arena affair, and a great opportunity to see the next NWOCR generation, including, amongst others, Massive Wagons, Wayward Sons, Bad Touch, Massive and Ryders Creed. So lets all look forward to HRH NWOCR, as they kickstart 2021 with a new positive framework that’s not only all about the music, but more importantly, is all about the fans.
