    Today's Video Of The Day is Oliver Wakeman & Clive Nolan's 'Why Do You Hate Me?', taken from their latest 'Dark Fables' album, and part of their 'Tales By Gaslight' 3CD Box set due for release on Friday 23rd April, that includes re-issues of 'Jabberwocky' and 'The Hound of the Baskervilles' - the first time that they've been available for several years. In keeping with the spirit of the two previous albums, not only does 'Why Do You Hate Me?' feature Oliver and Clive in their traditional keyboard roles, plus Paul Manzi (The Sweet) on vocals and David Mark Pearce (Monroe’s Thunder) on guitar, but the album also showcases the talents of, among others, Gordon Giltrap, Andy Sears (Twelfth Night) and Oliver's father Rick, with an original reading of the Jabberwocky poem.

    We saw the awesome Black Orchid Empire headline at Camden's Monarch in London,back in early February 2017, and today's Podcast Of The Day is our interview with New Zealander Dave Ferguson (bass/vocals), American Billy Freedom (drums) and Brit Paul Visser (vocals/guitar) backstage beforehand.Described as Hard Rock with a soft underbelly,the interview went so well, and long, that we split it into two episodes - this being the first part where the guys told us about life before BOE, life with BOE, their musical influences, the making of 'Archetype' and Emergenza 2013.

    2017 WRC Best Prog Performance award winners IT played London's 229 The Venue exactly three years ago today, when we not only managed to present the guys with their fully deserved award,but also to do a quick interview with Nick Jackson (vocals and guitar) and Andy Rowberry (lead guitar), after their soundcheck. Also consisting of Tom Ashcroft (drums), Ricky Kincade (bass) and Ryan McCaffrey (keyboards),we not only discussed their critically acclaimed album 'We're All In This Together' but also their path forward as far as future gigs and albums were concerned.

    Danish-Swedish quartet Vola have recently dropped today's new animated Video Of The Day for their brilliant song, '24 Light Years', taken from their upcoming album, 'Witness', which is out on Friday 21st May via Mascot Records. Asger Mygind (vocals/guitar), Martin Werner (keys), Nicolai Mogensen (bass) and Adam Janzi (drums), wrote the songs for the new album after they returned from their successful 2019 headline tour across Europe. The tour had a string of sold-out shows along the way, and capped off an incredible two years, which had seen them also tour with Dream Theater, Anathema, Katatonia, Haken, Monuments, as well as show-stealing performances at Euroblast, Ramblin’ Man Fair, Radar Festival, Bloodstock, Damnation Fest, Tech Fest and more.

    After ten years, Junket, the four-piece Alternative Rock band from Orange County, New York, is backwith their new single, 'Red Handed', which is today's Video Of The Day. Featuring Chris Wicher (vocals), Michael Miller (guitar),Kyle Hallenbeck (bass) and Chad Babcock (drums), it has definitely been worth the wait to experience this killer track that fluidly combines introspective melodies with intense layers of sound. 'Red Handed' was inspired by the TV show 'Dexter', and was produced by Sean-Paul Pillsworth at Nada Recording Studios, Montgomery, New York.
