  • Brave Rival Beaverwood Review 18/7/22

"Ironically, the first encore, the epic 'Break Me', saw another burning solo from Ed, despite being hampered by a broken guitar string, and after paying tribute to the audience, they rewarded those luckily enough to be present with "The Shred's" slide cajun sounding intro to 'What's Your Name Again?', as Chloe slipped off her shoes for one final gargantuan vocal, that also showcased impressive solos from Billy, Donna and Ed. Delivering super charged melodies in the highest of registers to try and blow this marquee away, tonight Brave Rival performed a cracking set of Rock and Blues classics with both a high intensity and a moving visual feast! "What's Your Name?" - "Brave Rival!" Nominated as “Best Emerging Blues Artist Of The Year” in this year's UK Blues Awards, and hailed as one of the UK’s most exciting new Blues Rock bands that features two female lead vocalists, today read AJ's take on Brave Rival's gig last Thursday 14th July at Chislehurst's The Beaverwood, plus check out John "Mr. Rockrpix" Bull's excellent photos and our 'Long Time Coming' Video Of The Day.

  • Rockrpix Pod Of The Day 18/7/22

Talking of Mr. Rockrpix, exactly seven years ago today, Bob and Jules were joined live on air by John Bull on their Rock On The Ridge show, so listen today as we go back in time for today's Podcast Of The Day, as John talks about and plays songs from the numerous bands such as King King (pictured) that he has photographed over the years.

  • Sunday Rocks! 17/7/22

Plainly the most honest and vulnerable album to date, that brims with frustration at the state of things, while tugging remorselessly at the heart strings, Lonely Robot, the Progressive Rock project masterminded by vocalist, guitarist and producer John Mitchell, release their fifth studio album, ‘A Model Life’, on Friday 26th August, and their first single from the album, 'Recalibrating’, is also one of today's six of the best 'Sunday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further new and recent releases from Seven Cities Dead, The Anix, Anthea, Dead Memory and Toronto Is Broken featuring Camo MC.

  • First Class Boom 17/7/22

Back in February 2016, a select gathering of WRC members sacrificed the Thunder gig at Wembley to enjoy a few after match beers with broadcasting legend, Fulham supporter and honorary WRC member, David Hamilton, who was presented with a WRC t-shirt (pictured), and recently 'Diddy' returned the compliment on his Boom Radio show by dedicating a song to them on today's Podcast Of The Day that also includes music from The Beatles, 10CC and First Class.

  • Run Away Art 17/7/22

An unapologetic ode to the audacity and playful cynicism of growing up, last month, Canada's Glam Rock artist and producer, Art d'Ecco, released on Paper Bag Records, both his brand new album, 'After The Head Rush', and his latest single, 'Run Away', which is today's Video Of The Day. 'After The Head Rush' emerges like the shadow of a sundial cast between two time zones - one in the past, and one in the present. Infused with belated coming-of-age wisdom it sparks the dawn of a new era - inspired by a move to his hometown and the thrill of rediscovering the music of his youth. With more North American dates planned for this September and November, as well as recent West Coast gigs, this year Art has already played the New Colossus Festival in New York, SXSW in Austin, Texas, plus The Great Escape in Brighton.

  • Art d‘Ecco Style 12/3/22

With a full length, new album confirmed for later this year, meshed inside saxophone swells and a practically pounding piano line, Glam rocker/producer, Art d‘Ecco, gives us a first taste of what's to come, with his new single, 'Palm Slave', defiantly maximalist and nostalgic in style, which is also today's Video Of The Day. Art's latest release follows his last album, 'In Standard Definition', that came out last year also via Paper Bag Records, and he is showcasing his new material via a series of shows including Washington D.C.'s Comet Ping Pong tonight, followed by further live dates in Austin (SXSW Festival), Edmonton (Winterruption) and Calgary (Big Winter Classic).

  • Frontiers Rocks Again! 16/7/22

Having wowed live audiences with their extreme visuals, make-up and costumes, along with bombshell singer Herma, the ultimate Rock n' Roll sideshow from outer space, Sick N’ Beautiful, yesterday released their latest album, 'Starstruck', a unique concoction of Hard Rock and Modern Metal infused with Industrial, Punk and Electro-Pop, blending in influences from across the spectrum to create a sound all their own, of which the album track, 'This Is Not The End', is also one of today's six of the best 'Frontiers Rocks Again!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by two similarly timed Frontiers releases from Orianthi and Palace, plus three further new/recent releases from Hellfire 76, Celestial Wizard and Speedfreak.

  • War Hippies Killin' It 16/7/22

The newly formed duo uniting Scooter Brown and Donnie Reis, War Hippies, recently released today's Video Of The Day to accompany their debut single, 'Killin’ It', featuring footage from both inside the studio and their one-of-a-kind live shows, that showcase the duo’s incredible musicianship. Weaved along with an all-too-familiar story of triumph and defeat in the music business, it evokes bittersweet feelings of living the dream on the road with sold-out shows but having no one to share it with. Indeed, the duo already has a full year ahead with tour dates of their own and they will also be joining Travis Tritt and Chris Janson on the Can't Miss Tour in the Fall.
