In April, British Rock heavyweights, Leader of Down, who were the final band of Motörhead's late great Würzel, unleashed their second album, 'The Screwtape Letters', to amazing reviews, consisting of 10 blockbusting tracks which took no prisoners with their own brand of heavy Rock ‘n’ Roll, that consequently hit the top ten in the UK Amazon Heavy Rock Charts, including today's Video Of The Day, 'Hollywood Motel', that was filmed on location in LA (home of The Hollywood Motel) and in the UK. 'Holloway Motel' is inspired by the motel of the same name that is situated on the West Hollywood stretch of Route 66, almost opposite the iconic bar Barneys Beanery, which was the regular drinking haunt of legends such as Jim Morrison. It was at the Holloway Motel that bass player Tim Atkinson and original Leader of Down drummer Steve Clarke used to stay whilst visiting Lemmy for the recording of 'Paradise Turned Into Dust', which was the first single from their critically acclaimed 2018 debut album, 'Cascade Into Chaos'.

Following the success of Hard Rock Hell Blues VI that took place at Sheffield's O2 Academy in April this year, for its 7th wave of Blues Rock, next year's legends return again to that very same venue over the weekend of 8th - 9th April, and today's 'HRH Blues VII Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, showcase six of the acts taking part, namely, Mississippi MacDonald, The Emma Wilson Band, Born Healer, Mike Ross, The Brew and Dom Martin.

With a gig already lined up at London's iconic The Half Moon Putney on Thursday 1st September, today's Podcast Of The Day is Pete Feenstra's recent interview with our old friend David Sinclair, where the guys play and chat about his music, ahead of the release of the David Sinclair Four's forthcoming album, 'Apropos Blues', that's also due out in September. Comprising members of San Diego's revered retro rockers Astra, along with current or former members of Joy, Radio Moscow, Psicomagia and Sacri Monti, Birth own a cavernous cache of credibility rarely found in developing musical groups, and they recently delivered a blast of vibrant Progressive Rock rich in cinematic scope and psychedelic intensity, with their album, 'Born', released last month, of which the title track is one of today's six of the best 'Wednesday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by further new and recent releases from Creepy Little Things, The Interrupters, Viridis, Crossing Rubicon and Lost Legacy.

Following the recent release in June of their fifth full-length studio album, 'Feel This', via Mascot Label Group/Mascot Records, Pottsville's very own Crobot have recently announced a run of UK and European tour dates that includes a mix of headline shows and a run supporting the mighty Airbourne and Blues Pills, so check out today's Video Of The Day of 'Set You Free'. Playing songs from their new album, the WRC's favourite Groove-Rockers will be kicking off their tour with a run of five UK headline shows on Monday 21st November in Bristol, then on to Portsmouth, Nottingham, Glasgow and Wolverhampton before getting on the party bus with Airbourne and Blues Pills calling through France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands and finishing in the UK three days before Christmas - with a headline stop off in the Czech Republic along the way!

One of the band's stand alone single releases for fans whilst work is underway with their as-yet-untitled and entirely crowd- funded album expected in 2023, fiercely independent Alternative Metal outfit, Shadow Smile, released the epic, 'Dearly Departed', last Friday, a deeply heartfelt and emotionally charged track exploring the grief and loss of losing a close loved one, which is also today's Video Of The Day. Encompassing a fusion of Classic Metal and Modern Electronica - the Sheffield quartet continue to strive forward, pushing musical boundaries with their original-yet-timeless sound. A fast rising and exciting new Rock act whose sonic concoctions will equally resonate with fans of contemporary Metal-Core acts like Bring Me The Horizon, While She Sleeps etc. and stadium Metal heavyweights such as Ghost and Avenged Sevenfold.

Consisting of long-time friends, singer-songwriter Léanie Kaleido and guitarist Mark Foster, East Grinstead-based soulful Indie Pop duo, Karamelien, yesterday self-released their laid-back and groovy Summer debut single, 'Ascension Heights', that not only samples the track of the same name by Léanie's father, Top Topham, but also features the very same original founding guitarist of The Yardbirds (before Eric Clapton assumed his place), of which the track is also one of today's six of the best 'Tuesday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further new and recent releases from Ardours, Black Reuss, Mezzoa, Cleanbreak and Thundermother.

Dom Martin opens today's latest Blues On The Radio Podcast Of The Day, ahead of his appearance at The Tuesday Night Music Club's 8th anniversary party in Coulsdon tonight, followed by a preview of one of the highlights in the festival calendar, Callow End's Old Bush Blues, with a whole bunch of people who are playing there this year over the weekend of 19th - 21st August.
