    Recorded and produced by singer and mastermind James Christian, alongside keyboard wizard Mark Mangold, 'Saints And Sinners', the new studio album released yesterday by respected Hard and Melodic Rock US outfit, House Of Lords, is the group's eleventh full-length release since debuting in 1988 with a self-titled effort that is still regarded as a key arena Rock record of its era, of which the new album track, 'House Of The Lord', is also one of today's six of the best 'Frontiers Rocks Again!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by three similarly timed Frontiers releases from Ginevra, The Erinyes and Fans Of The Dark, plus two further tracks from We Are William and Gravelle-Perinbam.

    A Summer tour that has already taken her to England, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Belgium and Scotland - where she was the first female artist to headline the Wildfire Festival, Blues Rock singer and songwriter Sari Schorr's Back to LA 2022 Tour (part 2) continues into this Autumn, and for today's Podcast Of The Day, we turn the clock back to just over six years ago at London's 100 Club, when we interviewed Sari backstage both before her acoustic set, and during headliner Tommy Castro & The Painkillers' soundcheck!

  • Blue Rain, Peach Wind and Black Speed 16/9/22

    Announced just before the three year anniversary of his passing, Neal Casal's second studio album, 'Rain, Wind And Speed', originally released in 1996, will be reissued on Friday 2nd December on limited edition vinyl via the Neal Casal Music Foundation (NCMF), of which one of the 11-song collection, 'All The Luck In The World', is today's Video Of The Day. With all proceeds benefiting the NCMF, .the album will be presented on three colour vinyl variants of which 333 LPs of each will be pressed: Blue Rain, Peach Wind and Black Speed, along with previously unpublished photos and new liner notes by Casal's longtime champion and former publishing representative, Jim Cardillo, who details the period in the late singer/songwriter's life when the album was created.

    Born in 2018 as a brainchild by Iconcrash's and Swallow the Sun’s guitarist/vocalist, Jaani Peuhu, Mercury Circle offer dark Rock infused with electrifying synth wave and slow, epic Doom, and last year they released their first full-length album, 'Killing Moons' on Noble Demon, of which their track, 'Black Mirrors', is today's Video Of The Day. Truly a genre of its own, the band, also comprising Jussi Hämäläinen - guitars/synths, Juppe Sutela - guitars, Ande Kiiski - bass and Jaska Raatikainen - drums, is establishing their very own kind of "New Doom" - think Sisters Of Mercy and The Cult shaking hands with Depeche Mode and Cathedral.

  • Aaron Buchanan Interview 14/9/22

    Just over five years ago, at Maidstone's Ramblin' Man Fair in July 2017, we caught up with former Heaven's Basement vocalist and the nattily dressed Aaron, with his equally stylish sister Laurie, for a chat, after Aaron Buchanan And The Cult Classics had played the Rising Stage on the Saturday, which is also today's Podcast Of The Day. We had seen Aaron and Heaven's Basement supporting Aerosmith at Clapham's Calling Festival three years earlier, and in a really frank discussion, Aaron talked about life after Heaven's Basement, how ABATCC got together plus their album, 'The Man With Stars On His Knees' (pictured).

  • Gotthard On A Roll 14/9/22

    It was great to catch up with our Swiss correspondent Marlène Rivet in London recently, and today's Video Of The Day was suggested by Marlène, namely 'Stay With Me' by Gotthard, a Swiss Hard Rock band, with influences of Whitesnake, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, founded in Lugano by vocalist Steve Lee (who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2010) and guitarist Leo Leoni. Now with new singer Nic Maeder on board, their last eleven albums have all reached number 1 in the Swiss album charts, making them one of the most successful Swiss acts ever. Indeed, Leo is also the guitarist in another Swiss band, CoreLeoni, that also includes the amazing Albanian Rock vocalist, Eugent Bushpepa. Make sure that you check them out as well!

    With the Southern Rock band due to return for a UK tour in February next year, and ahead of the release of their latest studio album, 'Wreckage Vol. 2', on Friday 30th September, Robert Jon & The Wreck have just released their brand new single, 'Old Hotel Room', on Blues Rock Titan Joe Bonamassa’s label KTBA Records, which is not only taken from the new album, but is also one of today's six of the best 'Tuesday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further new and recent releases from Scarlet Dorn, Dead City Ruins, Jimmy Hall, The Persian Leaps and Wytch Hazel/Spell.
