  • This House We Built 27/9/22

    Following a couple of fantastic reviews plus an album launch gig planned for Saturday 15th October at Pickering Memorial Hall, Scarborough based band, This House We Built, will release their self funded, self titled album in mid-October, and their first single, 'Fairweather Friend', is today's Video Of The Day. Indeed, back in May, the North Yorkshire band supported 2019 WRC Best Unplugged award winner Danny Vaughn at an intimate show at Pickering's The Dog House, where the Tyketto legend duly joined them for an acoustic performance of ‘Fly Me Up To The Moon’, another song from their forthcoming album. Don't forget that Danny also returns to the UK later this year for an acoustic solo tour named "Vaughnsday On The Road" by his fans, that kicks off in Edinburgh on Thursday 24th November, ending at Bradford's Nightrain on Friday 9th December.

    Despite the cold weather and her band not appearing on stage until 11pm, Serbian Blues singer and guitarist Ana Popovic recently warmed the hearts of the Swiss Paillote Festival audience on Sunday 18th September, with her great funky and jazzy set, complemented by fabulous horns and an absolutely phenomenal rhythm section including bassist Buthel Burns, so today check out Marlène Rivet's initial Photo Galllery, plus also our Video Of The Day of 'Lasting Kind Of Love', that was filmed at France's Lomme Festival three days earlier.

  • Destination Bournefest 26/9/22

    Following the recent release of his new album, 'Destination Unknown', via Marshall Records, not only is Laurence Jones's band, consisting of Bennett Holland on Hammond, keys and synth, Jack Alexander Timmis on bass guitar and Samuel Jenkins on drums,currently out on the road on an extensive UK tour, including Sittingbourne's Bournefest this Saturday 1st October, but for today's Podcast Of The Day we go back to January 2018 when we interviewed the Blues Rock guitarist and singer-songwriter. before his soundcheck at London's much missed Borderline. Clocking in at forty one minutes, his latest album packs an effortless Rock punch, whilst also not forgetting his Blues heritage, and indeed next year Laurence will be headlining the Leeds Blues Rhythm & Rock Festival at the Brudenell Social Club on Sunday 26th February, with support from The Ryk Mead Band, Stephen Dale Petit, Catfish, Crow Black Chicken plus Xander And The Peace Pirates.

    After releasing their 'Translucent' single earlier this Summer, Termina, featuring guitarist Nik Nocturnal (who also handled other instrumentals), vocalist Andy Cizek (Monuments, Makari), and drummer Chris Turner (Oceans Ate Alaska), is back with another slab of modern Metal, 'Take Flight', a standalone single mixed and mastered by Zakk Cervini (Bring Me The Horizon), which is also one of today's six of the best 'Monday Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further new and recent releases from Frau Fleischer, Black Nite Crash, Graveshadow, SAHG and Building Upon The Revelation.

Tracks Of The Day, complemented by five further new and recent releases from Blood Of Us, Daedric, Karamelien, JoanovArc and Talas.
