  • Dead Daisies Take Flight 14/11/22

After releasing their sixth studio album, ’Radiance‘, at the end of September, The Dead Daisies are about to wing their way to back to the UK on their eight-date Winter Tour in December, with very special guests, revered UK legends FM and the Graham Bonnet Band, and for today's Podcast Of The Day we go back to November 2018 and Hard Rock Hell 12, when we were lucky enough to interview guitarist David Lowy and former bassist Marco Mendoza after their set. Indeed, the inspiration behind their latest single, 'Born To Fly', released last Friday, is Lowy’s love of flying. From playing with a little balsa wood glider at the age of five to flying in a BAE Hawk, he was motivated to get his pilot’s licence and to one day own a jet fighter. David’s passion for flying has stayed with him ever since.

The whole album was written, played, recorded, produced and mixed by our very own Steven C. Gilbert, with excellent post-production mastering of final tracks by the great Andy Le Vien at RMS Studios, South London, plus Steven's longtime collaborator/consultant/mentor, Shak Cohen, who's advice all along has been invaluable.
