Rock will return to Maidstone’s Mote Park next month from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd July, in the form of the Maid of Stone Festival, a brand-new and diverse festival celebrating Rock, Heavy Rock and Blues Rock, with the ‘Voice of Rock’, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and former Deep Purple bassist/singer, Glenn Hughes headlining on Saturday, and the master's of high-adrenaline Rock, Airbourne, headlining on Sunday, so today's 'Maid Of Stone Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day showcase six of the many great bands taking part, namely Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, Jordan Red, Skinny Knowledge, The Hot Damn!, not forgetting of course the aforementioned Glenn Hughes and Airbourne.

Last Friday, US Chart-topping eight-piece Rock 'n' Roll collective, The Revivalists, released their brand-new studio album, 'Pour It Out Into The Night', via Concord Records, and today's Video Of The Day, taken from the album, the propulsive, frenetic instrumentation of 'Don't Look Back', pulls sonic inspiration from front man David Shaw's early Punk-Rock days and reflects the urgency of the song’s message of perseverance and moving forward. A life-affirming fifth album, offering an unburdening and an appreciation for living in the moment, the new music was fuelled by lessons in gratitude and life realisations that came from personal experiences over the past few years as the world came to a standstill. The band is currently on the road across the US and gearing up for festival dates including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bumbershoot, and more, as well as co-headline tours with The Head and The Heart and Band of Horses, beginning Friday 30th June.

Our fellow Wrinklies, Half Moon Panic, are loading up their tasty baguette, breaking Sting's older brother out of the old folks home and will be living the dream, as they're heading off on a six-date UK tour later this month including Liverpool's iconic Cavern, supporting US band Misty Blues, that kicks off at London's equally iconic 100 Club on Tuesday 27th June, and today's six of the best award-winning 'Tuesday Blues Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day includes just some of the many great artists performing there up and till October, including of course Half Moon Panic, The Cinelli Brothers, Albany Down, Big River, Brave Rival and JFK Blue.

Founder, guitarist, songwriter and vocalist with British Blues legends, The Groundhogs, the great Tony McPhee sadly passed away on Tuesday at the age of 79, The band were formed in 1963 and finally retired in 2014, with Tony tragically suffering a stroke in 2009.
