With the 2024 UK Blues Awards taking place this Thursday at The Stables in Milton Keynes, today's 'UK Blues Awards Rocks!' Tracks Of The Day represent just six of the many fantastic finalists, spread over twelve voting categories, namely Mississippi MacDonald, Emma Wilson, Troy Redfern, Trevor Babajack Steger, Elles Bailey and Jimmy Regal & The Royals.

Today is Record Store Day when hundreds of artists come together to celebrate the unique culture of the UK’s independent record shops, which are at the heart of local communities up and down the country, as labels and stores sign up for the 17th edition of the annual event, that champions the art of vinyl, of which today's six 'Record Store Rocks!' Yesterday's very sad news that The Allman Brothers Band vocalist/guitarist, Dickey Betts, had died peacefully at the age of 80 after a cancer battle, brought back memories of when we had the honour of interviewing Betts' son Duane when Allman Betts played Kent's much missed Ramblin' Man Fair back in July 2019, and today's Video Of The Day, dedicated in Dickey's memory, has to be THAT song written by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend, performed by his band at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey, back in December 1981.
