Supporting the legendary Status Quo at Burghley House on Saturday was simply amazing according to the latest Walkway update! Apparently Mr. Parfitt (pictured with the guys) was extremely complimentary to the band and made a point of coming over to speak to them! Not only that but there was a brilliant reaction from the crowd (read the review here) and lots of new fans were made! Consequently Walkway's very windy soundcheck is our Vid Of The Day and don't forget the guys are supporting Quo again at Hatfield House on Saturday 20th June!

Talking of 2014 WRC Award winners Little Devils - the WRC bumped into a number of people at 'The Storm Inside' launch party - one of which was Jennifer Noble from Chicago who is pictured alongside second from the right. Anyway we're delighted to feature as today's 'Track Of The Day' Jukin' Jen's Bucket Of Blues for the very first time! Jennifer's podcast today features classics from Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon and of course B.B. King. Enjoy!

Just under a week to go now before the excellent Classic Rock covers band The Replicants play their first gig at the new Carlton Centre in Sidcup on Saturday 18th April. Don't forget these guys have been the main support at all three Mick Jagger Centre Wrinklystock gigs appearing with The Beatlez, Bon Giovi and The Bohemians - and they will be back again on Saturday 21st November supporting T.Rextasy! Following the official Ruf Records release of his new album 'What's It Gonna Be', Laurence Jones is proudly positioned at number 17 in the Amazon Blues Charts alongside best sellers Eric Clapton, Jools Holland, John Mayall, Seasick Steve and Joanne Shaw Taylor! Laurence added that this was all down to his fans for their continued support towards his music and he looked forward to seeing them out on the road! Coinciding with yesterday's news reaching Wrinkly Towers that King King's new CD 'Reaching For The Light' has reached Number One in the Amazon Blues Download Chart - the official album launch is actually taking place tonight at The Jazz Cafe in London! Anyway the awesome 'Rush Hour' taken from their new album is our 'Track Of The Day'!

The Blacktop boys have been in touch and we're delighted to include their excellent new single 'Suds & Crow' as our 'Video Of The Day'. Not only that - but you can download the single for FREE here and it will appear in its full form on their second - yet to be named - album due for recording this May. The guys have already received lots of 'pre-orders' from friends all over the world which has really helped them in the 'up front' costs of recording, duplicating and producing the finished product. The more pre-orders they get will help them achieve as early a release date as possible, so if you are interested then please go here.Their plan is to have a minimum of 11 tracks on the album, possibly including a version of the 'Blue on Black' song 'Man Down' - a popular request on their live set.

The WRC first caught up with Blackberry Smoke when the Islington Academy became part of the Confederacy almost a year ago. Consequently the guys from Atlanta, Georgia, walked away with our 2014 'Best International' award! Indeed Wrinkly The Silver was there that night and now he gives us his excellent take on their new CD 'Holding All The Roses' of which "Too High' is our 'Video Of The Day'.

Staying on the continent and also talking of new album's - Swedish rock band Europe release their tenth studio album 'War Of Kings' this week. Ahead of that and the start of a UK tour - our 'Track Of The Day' sees Rory chatting to lead singer Joey Tempest about the album and of course their huge hit 'The Final Countdown'. Also on this week's Route 66 podcast are new tracks from The Black Circles and Joe Bonamassa who the WRC are off to see at the Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday 19th March.

Also playing a gig at Fibbers in York tonight is our old mucker Larry Miller. Not only that but The Mentulls, who are performing at The Red Lion, Gravesend, on Friday 15th May - are supporting Larry.
