- Maple Leaf Blues! 19/7/16
Halfway through his debut UK tour - we were at The Bulls Head in Barnes, London, last night to catch Toronto based Blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Chris Antonik. Following his self-titled debut album, he was nominated for Best New Artist in 2011 at Canada's Maple Blues Awards and in 2013, his critically acclaimed second album 'Better For You' reached number 1 in the Canadian charts. Anyway, on a beautiful Summer's evening, by the Thames, Antonik delved into his back catalogue - plus material from his forthcoming new album - in a stand-out set. Check out today's Vid Of The Day - plus watch out for further pics, a review and an interview (in that order) over the coming days!
- Zamba Blues Band 29/6/16
Exactly a week ago we featured Power Blues band Zamba - winners of the 5th Croatian Blues Challenge - as our Vid Of The Day! So it was nice for us to receive the other day a very kind message from Boris (Zamba) himself! "I wish to thank you so much for making my song 'Love' a video of the day. It means so much to me. It's written for the people and now they could listen to it. I have a new song 'I'll Never Be Your Man' out. Probably gonna make a video for it in the end of the summer. Anyway, I really appreciate everything you did." You're more than welcome Boris - and just to let your music do the talking - today's Track Of The Day is a video of his latest single 'Goin' Home'!
- Landslide Margin! 24/6/16
Blending Funk, Blues, Metal and good old-fashioned Rock 'n' Roll into a howling vortex of dirty groove Rock, Crobot specialise in endless good time Rock hooks that sound as inspired today as they would have on AOR radio in 1974! Anyway, the O2 Academy Islington punters last night cast off their 'Referendum Blues' with a massive "yes" vote on an evening which also saw impressive support from both The Bad Flowers and Dirty Thrills. With a review and more pics to come - check out today's Vid Of The Day!

- Since I've Been Loving You 20/11/15
And talking of 'Corky Laing Plays Mountain' - one of our biggest regrets of the night was not videoing Born Healer's (pictured) monster cover of Zep's 'Since I've Been Loving You' which made one young lady's evening - i.e. the fact Born Healer covered it - not that we didn't record it! Anyway it's that particular WRC Member's **th birthday today so our Vid Of The Day is dedicated to her - taken from the awesome 'The Song Remains The Same'. Happy Birthday!

- U2 @ O2 Tonight! 29/10/15
The pace doesn't slacken as the WRC are heading to the O2 Arena, London, tonight to see Irish Rockers U2 on the latest leg of their innocence and experience tour. To be fair - a band not always on the WRC radar - but a 'bucket list' band that we feel we need to witness once. Formed back in 1976 in Dublin they have since released 13 studio albums and are one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, having sold more than 170 million records worldwide. And the good news is that the guys are playing in 'the round' tonight plus the possibility of another special guest following Noel Gallagher's appearance via the Jubilee Line on Monday night (see our Vid Of The Day). Anyway, we hope to meet some of you in the Sky Backstage lounge beforehand!
