Given everything that has been going on recently at Wrinkly Towers, we could be forgiven for not mentioning another WRC Promotion taking place on Saturday 3rd December at Leo's Red Lion in Gravesend. Blues On The Radio host Richard Dunning welcomed Rebecca Downes to the Croydon Radio studio earlier this week ahead of her showcase gig at The Tuesday Night Music Club. Today's Track Of The Day sees them catching up on all that has happened since her last visit, particularly with the release of 'Believe', and of course Rich also plays his usual mix of fine music!

Torrita di Siena is the beautiful town in Italy where the 6th European Blues Challenge is taking place. This jubilee competition – organized by the Torrita Blues festival in cooperation with the Torrita di Siena City Hall – begins tonight and finishes tomorrow at the new Music Sport Hall of Torrita. Flying the flag for the UK is Red Butler who not only supported Danny Bryant recently on his UK tour (Track Of The Day) but they are also appearing at our WRC BluesRockFest at Leo's Red Lion in Gravesend on Saturday 24th September. Mr. Rockrpix John Bull is also covering the event in Italy so watch out for some pics from him shortly!

Lifetime Achievement Grammy-Award winning vocalist-songwriter and revered guitarist Warren Haynes will now be headlining the Blues Stage at Ramblin' Man on Sunday 24th July at Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent. Long recognized as a prolific musician and a cornerstone of the American music landscape, Haynes has brought his virtuosic artistry to three of the greatest live groups in rock history – Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule and The (Grateful) Dead! Also joining Haynes that day will be Nashville trio SIMO (our Vid Of The Day) who Joe Bonamassa brought to the attention of the Mascot Label Group stating that frontman and Guitarist JD Simo (pictured) is “one of the best out there right now”, and with their new album 'Let Love Show The Way' - it’s not hard to see why!

This Saint Patrick’s Day, Thursday 17th March, The British Blues Exhibition brings you the first of a series of events showcasing the best in the British Blues scene. Taking place at the legendary Proud Camden, the event features three top acts: The Laura Holland Band (our Vid Of The Day), the Saiichi Sugiyama Band and Pete Brown - that will all make you want to shake your tail feather. In company of their dancing friends from Swing Patrol London, they will make sure you get your mojo working for the night. Doors open at 6.30pm and the first band is on stage at 7pm. The clue regarding the special guests on tonight's Rock On The Ridge show here at 8pm was "You will have to turn it up!" Black Sabbath was suggested but it's even better than that as Shooter are in the studio to discuss a busy year with a bunch of cracking festivals, the release of their critically acclaimed single 'Turn It Up' at the beginning of the year and the release of their debut album 'Recycled Teenagers' in September with an outstanding launch gig at the Half Moon in Putney. Not only that but they recently announced their new Xmas single 'Xmas Time’s a Time to Rock' (our Vid Of The Day) with the immortal line "Well We May Be Old & Wrinkly" (we're not worthy) is available on pre-order from i-Tunes and Amazon for release on Thursday 17th December.

We think that a mention of this year's Wrinklystock V taking place at the Mick Jagger Centre, Dartford on Saturday 26th November is well overdue! Headliners Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Phil Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide. Meanwhile, special guests U2 Tribe, have not only been entertaining audiences all over the UK and Europe since 2010, but the band members are also passionate U2 fans! They will also be auctioning their set list in advance of the night to raise money for our nominated charities. Watch this space!
