Every year, Camden Rocks Festival opens up its gates for band submissions, no matter how small or big the band, you can submit them! However, the deadline for submission is today! You can submit a band here - the more a band is submitted, the bigger the chance of grabbing a slot on the festival so bands, fans & everyone around, jump on it! By submitting a band, you're also entering in to win a pair of tickets. Among the bands taking part on Saturday 4th June are Dirty Thrills, The Fallen State (pictured + our Vid Of The Day) and Counting Days - who announced on Friday that former and original Bring Me The Horizon guitarist Curtis Ward will be joining the band on a full time basis.

Touring in support of their new abum 'Bossman' - The Mighty Bosscats are playing The Tuesday Night Music Club c/o Comrades Club, 194 Brighton Road, Coulsdon, Greater London, CR5 2NF tonight! A contemporary British Blues band led by songwriter and guitarist Richard Townend, this is their eighth album release during the last four years, but the first to be released by Trapeze. Richard has been nominated no less than three times for his songs in the British Blues Awards, his writing being compared to J.J. Cale, Chris Rea and Dire Straits.

WRC Towers could not resist the opportunity of posing a question to Major Tim Peake as he floated around in his tin can during Sky News live question & answer session yesterday afternoon. Our tweet to #AskTim read: "Hey Tim! Other than obviously Space Oddity - what's your favourite track that you are rockin out 2 in space?" Not surprisingly Tim didn't play rock n' roll as most of the questions posed were scientific and from children. Worth a try though!

The Bowness Bay Blues Festival weekend finishes today with virtuoso multi-instrumentalists headliner Wille and the Bandits, listed in Radio 1’s top ten must-see bands at Glastonbury 2014. With its beautiful lakeside setting and well-chosen programme check out today's itinerary here.

"Any reservations about the guys kicking off with a song entitled 'Bad Experience' melted away as soon as the first chords were played. With it's uncomplicated foot tapping rhythm, it took us straight back to a time when music seemed always to be so much fun. By the time the opening notes of the album's title track 'Recycled Teenagers' sounded, the feel good factor had cranked into top gear, with a great deal of exuberant audience participation. Having been assured that Henry the Dog (on sticks), would be featuring in the next Shooter video, we weren't too disappointed that he had not shown up to reprise his performance during 'Turn It Up'. The great tracks from the Recycled Teenagers album just kept coming, being interspersed with some brilliant covers of tracks by the likes of Dr. Feelgood, The Who and Bad Company." That was Jules' take on Shooter at the Half Moon, Putney, last September and the guys returned last night for their farewell gig. Today's Route 66 Track Of The Day not only includes a dedication to Wrinkly The Silver who is recovering from back surgery, but also has brand new tracks from Ben Poole, The Brew, The Treatment, Red Morris, Eliza Neals, The Sheepdogs, SIMO (pictured), Danny Bryant, Def Leppard and Walter Trout. All fully jocked up by your daft and dangerous* host Rory Auskerry - there are also classic tracks from Iron Maiden, The Who and The Steve Miller Band plus some SuperHeavy, Joe Satriani and Jeff Beck!

Black Star Riders frontman Ricky Warwick is set to release not one but TWO new solo albums this month. 'When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues)' and the beautifully acoustic 'Hearts On Trees' will be released as a double CD on Friday 26th February via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. The pictured artwork for the double albums reflects the tone of each - 'When Patsy Cline Was Crazy…' showcases the electric rock and roll side of Ricky, while Hearts On Trees veers more towards tender stripped-back songwriting, influenced by both Americana and, more importantly, Ricky's Northern Irish roots! Don't forget also that Ricky will be joining Thin Lizzy at Ramblin' Man in July!

For a man from the north, Coverdale’s between-song banter is puzzling. His cut glass Queen’s English is regularly punctuated with profanities, making him sound like a lord who has had one too many brandies!!" That was part of Wrinkly The Silver's take on Whitesnake at London's Hammersmith Apollo in June 2011 - so another four year's down the line and with DC now 64 and WTS unable to attend with a bad back - how did last night's Whitesnake/Def Leppard/Black Star Rider's Wembley gig go down? In other news, the show has just signed a new syndication deal with the guys at Rock Radio UK which means you can catch this show twice a week on 2 different stations - broadcasting live each Sunday on Pure 107.8FM from 6-8pm, but as of this week the programme will be re-broadcast on Rock Radio UK every Friday evening from 8-10pm!
