Not doubt you enjoyed Rory Auskerry's latest 'Route 66' podcast which featured tracks from Sean Webster & The Deadlines new album 'See It Through'. Well it's fair to say Wrinkly Towers were blown away by this British Blues & Rock guitarist/vocalist - so much so that we have also featured Sean as our 'Track Of The Day'. Try and catch Sean on his current UK tour and in the meantime watch out for Rory's latest podcast this week.

No sooner had we mentioned John Verity the other day than we heard that John and his band's first appearance at the 'Giants of Rock' Minehead went according to plan - ably supported my Messrs. Henrit and Mallender. Go here for tickets for their forthcoming Stables gig on Saturday 4th April - the band for this one being Bob Henrit on drums and Bob Skeat on bass. There will also be a special guest appearance by Bianca Kinane and they will be joined by Tom Wilson on keyboards. A new CD will be launched at the gig - 'John Verity & Friends - Still Alive, Still Kicking!' Anyway our 'Track Of The Day' was recorded at JV's Stables gig just over a couple of year's ago. Enjoy!

As you know our mantra is "Keep Music Live!" - so the WRC were delighted to learn recently of a new live music venue with its inaugural gig this coming Thursday 6th August. The brainchild of Andy Davies, the very first 'Blues at The Woodlands' at the Woodlands Art Centre, Gillingham ME6 2DU begins with Glenhain Gold Reserve. Talking of BluesRockfest - today's Track Of The Day is Richard Dunning's latest Blues On The Radio podcast which not only includes a much appreciated plug for the Festival with music from The Rainbreakers and the Troy Redfern Band, but also Rich interviews rising star Rebecca Downes before her recent appearance at The Tuesday Night Music Club. Listen as they chat about her forthcoming support slot with King King (pictured) plus play some music specially selected by her - including Etta James, Bonnie Raitt and Rickie Lee Jones.

Well to be precise it's exactly 5 months less one day to T.Rextasy headlining our Mick Jagger Centre Charity gig on Saturday 21st November. And it will be exactly six years ago to the day that we saw AC/DC at Wembley when we take in The Who at Hyde Park in a month's time! Not only that, but exactly a month later, a healthy WRC contingent will be heading towards the Ramblin' Man Festival in Maidstone to see Greg Allman, Marillion, Ian Anderson and Joanne Shaw Taylor to name but a few on Sunday 26th July. Col (aka Wrinkly) certainly stepped up to the plate following our appeal for video footage of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Simple Man' from their Hammersmith Apollo gig last Thursday. Hence Col (pictured far right at the gig) has the honour of being our 'Video Of The Day' and meanwhile Dave (aka Wrinkly The Silver pictured second left) is currently burning the midnight oil writing his informed review which from previous experience will be well worth waiting for! Joining Richard Dunning in the Croydon Radio studio here at 5pm tonight will be Dave and Janet Jackson ahead of the Dave Jackson Band's show at The Tuesday Night Music Club in Coulsdon, Surrey, at 8.30pm. Apparently Dave and Janet will be bringing guitars into the studio so there'll be a few live numbers and they'll be playing and discussing their influences over the years. And as if that wasn't enough Richard will also be delving into a pile of quality new material plus playing some tracks from The Independent Blues Broadcasters Associations albums of the month! Consequently our Video Of The Day is DJB performing at Bluesfest 2013 - of which the DVD is still available for sale here.

Today we actually spotlight a new WRC member in our 'Introducing ....' feature - Blues vocal guitarist Adam Grogdope. Yes Adam is our 'Track Of The Day' with his imaginatively entitled CD 'A Bluesman Plays AC/DC and Other Awesome Stuff' .... a unique take on some Rock and Blues classics. No doubt Adam will go down a storm when he plays the intimate BB's Blues Club at the Colour House Theatre, Merton Abbey Mills SW19 2RD on Sunday 22nd March at 8pm. It's also a fundraiser and you can buy tickets in advance here for £7 or if there are any left on the night, which we doubt, they will be £9.
