All roads lead today to Hyde Park and British Summer Time headliners The Who. Rumoured to be their last ever tour - both they and main support Paul Weller will also be appearing at Glastonbury on Sunday. Today's Route 66 Track Of The Day has new tracks from Bad Touch (pictured), The Rolling Stones, Aaron Keylock, The Pretty Reckless, Jamie Porter and Federal Charm. Host Rory Auskerry also has an interview with Marcus King, as well as three tracks from his brand new self titled album plus their are also classic tracks from Thin Lizzy, Status Quo, David Lee Roth, Montrose, Queen, The Who and Steve Miller Band.

The fallout from BluesRockFest continues with more brilliant pics here from John Bull in addition to our photo gallery here - plus praise from Jack J Hutchinson (pictured) for our Vid of 'Get It Back' - "Thanks for the footage dude." It was also good to hear from Gary Seager from LastMinuteBandzBad Pennies - "Congratulations you guys - looks like yesterday's blues rock fest was a huge success with a great line up and a fantastic turn out. I'm glad all the hard work paid off." We also had cheeky best wishes from the Cornish Delta from Tim Chapple of The Movers enquiring about next year's line up - consequently they are our Track Of The Day!

We first came across RPWL following a brilliant cover of Steve Hillage's (not Hackett - that's another story) 'Sea Nature'. Anyway RPWL guitarist Kalle Wallner (aka Blind Ego) has taken seven years to complete his third solo effort 'Liquid' - which is today's Vid Of The Day. While 2007’s debut 'Mirror' sounded smooth and almost melancholic, the Freising-native Bavarian utilized the figurative steam hammer on 2009’s 'Numb' and served the audience with a tough as nails monster of Hard Rock heavily influenced by Metal. 'Liquid' now fuses the two earlier approaches without merely being a thrown together sum of its parts. In fact the elements were organically merged – and the result contains nine pieces of music that offer everything: from mighty Hard Rock melodies to brutal Heavy Metal riffing action all the way to emotionally charged passages.

UK Rock outfit As Lions have announced their debut EP 'Aftermath', out next Friday 14th October via Better Noise Records. In conjunction with the announcement of the EP, the band have also unveiled the title track and first single ‘Aftermath’ (today's Vid Of The Day). Comprised of vocalist Austin Dickinson, guitarist and keyboardist Conor O’Keefe, guitarist Will Homer, bassist Stefan Whiting and drummer Dave Fee, As Lions are the evolution of British rock. The band has played sold out shows in the UK, performing with Metal/Rock pioneers, Trivium, and making festival appearances this past summer at Camden Rocks and Download.

The last time we caught Slim Chance was at London's Borderline in January 2014 - a fantastic set which actually won them our 'Best Acoustic' 2014 WRC Award! Turn the clock back a further 38 years (ouch) and we also saw them of course with the late Ronnie Lane at Olympia's Great British Music Festival along with the esteemed company of The Pretty Things, Nazareth, Charlie, Be Bop Deluxe and some band called Bad Company! Impressive eh? Well we took in Slim Chance at Twickenham's famous Eel Pie Club on Thursday 25th August 2016 - the line-up now featuring original members, Charlie Hart (who we interviewed here before the gig and today's Track Of The Day), Steve Simpson and Steve Bingham. On the subject of Ramblin' Man's Outlaw Country Stage - the nominees for the prestigious British Country Music Awards have been announced. The awards are to be hosted by BBC Radio 2 presenter Baylen Leonard at The Heston Venue, Cranford, Middlesex, over the weekend of 29th & 30th October. Previous winners include The Shires, Brandy Clark, Ward Thomas, Brad Paisley, Luke & Mel, Striking Matches and the weekend opens with a Best of British Showcase featuring Dexeter, The Southern Companion (Track Of The Day), Thorne Hill, Gary Quinn and guest American Beau Fuller, with the ceremony itself featuring performances from Red Sky July, Katy Hurt, Holloway Road and many more!

It's always good to be included in a tweet from the Fran McGillivray Band - who are playing The Pelton Arms in Greenwich at 6pm tonight! Fran & Mike started playing Folk, Roots and Blues in the 1970’s and their trio will include a good balance of original songs from the band’s latest album 'Some Luck' plus their varying musical influences will also cater to many a different music lover's taste!
