As promised today's 'Track Of The Day' features an interview with BluesRockfest headliner, 2014 WRC Award winner and Bradford based Blues/Rock guitarist and singer Chantel McGregor! Rory Auskerry's Route 66 interview discusses sexism in the music business, creating demo recordings, musical influences and channeling life experiences into songs! Also on the show are birthday tracks for Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood and the late John Bonham as well as new tunes from Rob Berry, Jeff Beck and Sonny Landreth!

Talking of Mr. Dunning - the picture alongside was taken at last week's LIttle Devils' album launch and has been added to our Photo Gallery from the night. That's Richard at the back with Blues On the Marsh's very own Kev Beale far right with Devil's lead singer Yoka Qureshi in front of Richard. Not only that but if you go to the review here you will also have the pleasure of seeing Richard and Kev 'Dad Dancing' - we thought it was too cruel to make it our 'Vid Of The Day'!

Meanwhile, our 'Video Of The Day' is a track from Joe's recently released DVD, Blu-ray and CD - 'Muddy Wolf At Red Rocks'. A tribute to Blues legends Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf - it was filmed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre over American Labor Day weekend in 2014. Playing to a sold-out crowd of 9,000 fans, this marks the biggest show of Bonamassa’s career, a major milestone for the Bluesman. The Blu-ray and DVD contains over one and half hours of bonus features including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, photo gallery, historic footage of Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf and a featurette of Bonamassa and producer Kevin Shirley’s trip to The Crossroads.

Catfish (our Vid Of The Day) are now the fifth band to be officially announced as part our 2016 WRC BluesRockFest bill taking place at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend, on Saturday 24th September. Alongside headliners The Stevie Nimmo Trio, 2015 WRC Award winners The Mentulls, Red Butler and Jack J Hutchinson - their debut album 'So Many Roads' went straight to No. 1 in the IBBA blues airplay charts on its release in January 2015. Within their first year, Catfish were nominated twice as finalists in the 2015 British Blues Awards - in the 'Emerging Artist' category plus Paul Long for keyboards! Vocal & bass guitar legend Glenn Hughes (see our Vid Of The Day) will be on the Route 66 show tonight chatting to Rory Auskerry about his love of playing live, his time working with Joe Bonamassa (pictured with Hughes with Black Country Communion at High Voltage in 2011), California Breed, Deep Purple and Trapeze plus his advice for young musicians. All that plus some great music from across his 40+ year career on Route 66 here from 6pm!

The Underworld rocked as Buffalo Summer (Vid Of The Day), Scorpion Child (pictured) and headliners Crobot blew the bloody roof off of the Camden venue on Friday night. Whilst both Buffalo Summer and Scorpion Child superbly showcased their 'Zep' influences - Crobot's energetic performance was a dream for anyone into Creed, Wolfmother and Velvet Revolver! The lead singer and frontman of Scottish Rock band Gun Dante Gizzi joined Rory Auskerry for an interview on his Route 66 show last Sunday. Listen to our Track Of The Day as they discuss the band's new album 'Frantic', as well as the forthcoming tour - plus a new bonus single, their rockin' cover of the Hot Chocolate hit, 'Everyone's A Winner'. Also this week there are tracks from some of this year's British Blues Award winners and plenty of classic rock gold as well including tracks from Jimi Hendrix, The Jeff Healey Band, Travis Tritt, Bernie Marsden (pictured) and more.
