Yes it's exactly a year to the day that our new website wrinklyrockersclub.com replaced our inaugural website wrinklyrockersclub.co.uk .... and what a year it has been! Our very first posting back in 2015 brought you news of Aerosmith winning our 2014 WRC 'Best Rock Performance' award plus there was a review of AC/DC's latest album 'Rock Or Bust'. Anyway we're sure that the next 12 months will be even more exciting what with all the gigs we have planned - whether it's just as a punter or as a promoter. Today's Track Of The Day brings you the guitarist, singer and charismatic front man from the Scottish Rock & Blues band King King - Alan Nimmo. On this Route 66 Interview Special - Alan joins Rory Auskerry for a chat plus there's a video also featuring footage from the band's sold out show at the Sale Waterside Arts Centre in Greater Manchester!

The WRC introduced you to Idlewar, a three piece Rock band in the best tradition of a power trio - formed in 2014 hailing from Orange County, California! So were recently delighted to hear from our mate and Idlewar drummer Pete Pagonis about their new video from their debut LP 'Impulse' (Vid Of The Day) which will be released this Friday 30th September. Not only that, but the band including James Blake (bass and vocals) and Rick Graham (guitar) are touring the UK in late November/early December!

With unbelievably just 19 days to go now until BluesRockFest at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend, on Saturday 24th September - we were delighted to see some new footage of Blacktop Deluxe (Track Of The Day - with their new line up) filmed at last month's Cambridge Rock Festival. In association with 1883 Magazine and Radio X, all roads led to Natives' gig at the Cargo, Shoreditch, last night with support from Mono Club, Mowbeck and Lola Cove. The band were celebrating the recent release of their single ‘Stop The Rain’ which is taken from their forthcoming second album - heavily influenced by the band’s recent trip to Morocco, which inspired their huge tribal sound. The bad news is that tonight's Tuesday Night Music Club 2nd Anniversary celebration at the Comrades Club, 194 Brighton Road, Coulsdon CR5 2N is sold out. The good news is that there is still time here to purchase tickets in their incredible raffle in aid of 'Music For All' which will be drawn tonight. The other good news is that following tonight's gig featuring both Salvation Jayne and Catfish, you can catch both bands again at WRC Promotions later this year at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend. NMB LIVE, the free Canadian based music network, is offering just that: a way for all artists with a computer to perform live in front of a global audience from wherever they choose with the option of monetary compensation for their efforts! Live streaming technology has been around for a while, but what's new is the level of quality and the addition of monetizing features such as pay-per-view (the ability to sell tickets to watch a live stream) and tip jar. We continue our countdown to Ramblin' Man Fair weekend at Mote Park, Maidstone on 23rd/24th July with Sunday headliners Black Stone Cherry. We first saw BSC supporting Alter Bridge at Wembley Arena in November 2011 (pictured) and they obviously have gone from strength to strength. To coincide with this February's' packed out UK arena tour, BSC unveiled their video for 'In Our Dreams' (today's Vid Of The Day), the first single taken from their fifth studio album, 'Kentucky'.

This week's Black On Blues Track Of The Day is another Blues women special including 55 Rose Street (featuring Heather Gillis), Dena Taylor, Bridget Kelly Band, Christi Anna Perez, Diana Rein, F & G Band Feat Sandra Taylor, Fiona Boyes, Tracy K and Lisa Mann.

"The venue lended itself perfectly to the interaction between the band and the punters - with the mighty Bishop delighting his army of fans by pointing to them and occasionally high-fiving! The recently released new single 'Not For Sale' with it's reminiscent opening 'Lizzy' riff - re-enforced the undoubted quality of the forthcoming 'WTFC' before they went for another classic from 'SS' - La Mano De Lucifer - Bishop's haunting guitar intro leading us down the garden path to more on stage horseplay complemented by compulsory head-banging! The title track 'WTFC' showcased the tightness of the band - highlighting the extraordinary bass and drums of the brothers Figueroa. If there is a frontman with better vocals or stage presence than Yeagley - then I have yet to see him - simply hypnotic - weaving and rocking his mic stand back and forth - cue his harmonica intro on 'The Necromancer'."
