  • High Octane Monster Truck! 30/11/15

Canadian hard-rockin’ juggernaut Monster Truck, will release their new album 'Sittin’ Heavy' on 19th February 2016 via their new home of Mascot Records/Mascot Label Group for Europe and Dine Alone Records for the rest of the World. 'Sittin’ Heavy' is 11 tracks of high-octane, foot to the floor, raucous rock that picks up from where 2013's incredible Juno Award nominated 'Furiosity' left off. For the past two years since the debut dropped they have been hell-bent on putting Hamilton, Ontario, on the rock ‘n’ roll map as they have, in true road warrior style, relentlessly been tearing through Europe, the US and Canada opening for the mighty Guns N' Roses, Slash, Alice in Chains, ZZ Top, Buckcherry, Rival Sons and Vista Chino as well as stepping up for blistering sets at the UK's Hammerfest and Download Festival. • Introducing ..... Idlewar 9 September 2015

The WRC were recently delighted to hear from Idlewar drummer Pete Pagonis, a three piece rock band in the best tradition of a power trio - hailing from Orange County, California! Formed in 2014 the band including James Blake (Bass & Vocals) and Rick Graham (Guitar) has been working hard writing and recording. The result of that hard work is the 5 song EP 'Dig In',which is already receiving great early reviews of which 'Eleventeen' is our Track Of The Day. Driving rhythms, riffs to remember and vocals of impassioned grit. There’s no extra fat on these songs and they leave you wanting to hit play again. Carrying on in the hard rock tradition of bands like the Foo Fighters, AC/DC & Aerosmith, Idlewar also merges elements of bands like Clutch, Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age to carry the torch of rock into the modern era and are a welcome addition to our 'Introducing ..' feature here.
