GIve us a shout below if you're going to either!

- Action Jackson! 21 April 2015
Joining Richard Dunning in the Croydon Radio studio here at 5pm tonight will be Dave and Janet Jackson ahead of the Dave Jackson Band's show at The Tuesday Night Music Club in Coulsdon, Surrey, at 8.30pm. Apparently Dave and Janet will be bringing guitars into the studio so there'll be a few live numbers and they'll be playing and discussing their influences over the years. And as if that wasn't enough Richard will also be delving into a pile of quality new material plus playing some tracks from The Independent Blues Broadcasters Associations albums of the month! Consequently our Video Of The Day is DJB performing at Bluesfest 2013 - of which the DVD is still available for sale here.
- Wrinkly To The Rescue! 26 April 2015
Col (aka Wrinkly) certainly stepped up to the plate following our appeal for video footage of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 'Simple Man' from their Hammersmith Apollo gig last Thursday. Hence Col (pictured far right at the gig) has the honour of being our 'Video Of The Day' and meanwhile Dave (aka Wrinkly The Silver pictured second left) is currently burning the midnight oil writing his informed review which from previous experience will be well worth waiting for! Remember to go to our photo gallery and video vault for more photos and vids of the gig.
- Bowness Bay Blues Kicks Off Today! 27 March 2015
The fourth Bowness Bay Blues Weekend starts today with WRC Award winner Robin Bibi (pictured) on at the Hydro Hotel between 8.30pm and 9.45pm. Saturday headliner Laurence Jones was not only nominated in our 2014 WRC Awards, but actually won ‘Young Artist of the Year’ in the British Blues Awards and followed that up by representing the UK in the European Blues Challenge in Brussels recently. Sunday headliners David Migden and the Twisted Roots also represented the UK at the 2014 European Blues Challenge in Riga. Tickets are still on sale here from The Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. Anyway our 'Track Of The Day' is Robin performing at Bluesfest 2014 - part of a double DVD/CD that is still available from our merchandise page here!
- Different Shades Of Blues! 20 March 2015
Despite suffering with a chest infection, Joe Bonamassa stormed into the Hammersmith Apollo for the second of his four London gigs last night - so it was definitely a case of 'Live From Somewhere In Particular'. To be fair the jury has been out on Joe recently given the relentless JB juggernaut of new releases going hand in hand perhaps with the prohibitive cost to some of his Apollo tickets. Has Joe - and no pun intended - come to a 'Crossroads?'. We can always hark back to 2008 when we all walked out of the Shepherds Bush Empire with the biggest smiles on our faces for many a year after seeing Bonamassa for the first time - but hey things have to move on. Anyway, find out what our take was with a review and more pics out shortly. In the meantime - despite being taken up in the Gods - Joe naturally is our 'Video Of The Day'!
- Ramblin Man' Fair - RockRpix Photo Gallery 28/7/16
Not only have we added some new pics to our Ramblin' Man Photo Galleries for Saturday here and Sunday here - but Mr. RockRpix himself John Bull is currently putting together his own personal gallery here which currently features The Cadillac Three, Thunder, Airbourne (pictured), Thin Lizzy, Inglorious, The Dead Daisies, Purson and Europe. Watch out for more bands to be added!
- New Age Of Old Ways 9/7/16
South London riff-monsters Stoneghost will be heading out as main support on a nine date UK tour with British Metal beasts Raging Speedhorn which begins in Colchester on Friday 15th July and ends at London's Underworld on Saturday 23rd July. Their latest album 'New Age of Old Ways' was recorded with Russ Russell who has previously worked with Napalm Death, Evile, Dimmu Borgir, Sikth and New Model Army - who helped harness the raw live energy and translate it to record.
- Mean Time For JB Tonight! 7/7/16
"It was almost irrelevant what material JB chose to play, because the jaws of the punters, most of whom had seen him many times, continued to drop in awe. For the record the set opened with Beck's 'Bolero/Rice Pudding' followed by Clapton’s 'Mainline Florida' and Zeps 'Boogie with Stu' – all three greats covered in the first three songs – nice!! That effectively set the tone as it should – the set did what it said on the tin and the crowd loved it. Highlights for me were 'Spanish Boots' – 'SWALBR' (where JB introduced us to a little beauty of a guitar) – 'Tea for One' which JB covered on his 'You and Me' album and is one I wish he would play on his “normal” tours (any chance JB?) – 'Pretending' and 'Blues of Desperation'. Of course the night wouldn’t be complete without a tribute to the Beatles and 'Taxman' duly achieved that." Read Wrinkly's take here on Joe Bonamassa's Liverpool Cavern Club gig last week (pictured) and yes - we're off to see him again tonight at Greenwich Music Time! Happy days!
