  • British Blues Exhibition Live - Review 21/3/16

"One of British Blues very finest acts was Cream - Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce. Their famous and iconic songs were co-written by Pete Brown, and Pete put the stamp of history on the night as well as producing a very fine musical performance. Belying his years, Pete sang with fire and humour, including songs from his personal musical repertoire, but fittingly closing the evening with 'White Room' and 'Sunshine Of Your Love'. Pleasingly, a member of Jack Bruce's family was present and said it was "...a fab night. I enjoyed myself in what was a fun entertaining show." • Plowman's Bunch Vid Of The Day! 4 August 2015

Today's Video Of The Day is our friends The Sultana Brothers - featuring the magnificent Dave Plowman. Formed in 1995 and with influences in R&B, Rock 'N' Roll, Blues and Rock - the band have continued to receive glowing reviews. Having spent the early years cutting their teeth and developing a sound of their own in the local pubs and clubs, The Sultana Brothers have now become one of the most acclaimed bands in the Midlands. The solid combination of Phil (drums) and Pete (bass) added to Adam's Boogie piano and Dave's sensational guitar work - and an unbelievable mix of Rhythm & Blues explodes. In 2006 they were joined by Dave H 'The Hat' (lead vocals and Blues harp). His Blues-Jazz voice and great harp playing added a whole new dimension to the music, making an exciting five-piece band who enjoy the music they make as much as their audience do!
