All the British Blues Awards winners and runners-up have been invited to a celebration event on Saturday 17th October at the Navigation Inn in Nottingham. Awards and certificates will duly be presented - its aim for both musicians and the fans who voted, attended gigs and bought albums, to socialise with each other and to generally have a fun day and evening! It is a free to attend event with an open mic and the organiser's hope that artists and fans alike will show their support for the BBA's! Everyone is welcome - further details here. Following his stand-out performance at 'Ramblin Man' (pictured), guitar legend Bernie Marsden (our Track Of The Day) is currently on a UK Tour to promote his latest solo album ‘Shine’ as well as playing some of his greatest hits. Tonight Bernie will be calling in at The Stables, Milton Keynes and although he was right to be wary of flooding the credits with too many special guests, ‘Shine’ does feature some extremely well-known names, from Joe Bonamassa to Whitesnake mucker and singer David Coverdale plus the Deep Purple duo of Ian Paice (drums) and Don Airey (keyboards)!

So after a year of writing, rehearsing and gigging, Kris Barras Band's Lucky 13 album is finally released today. Check out today's brilliant Vid Of The Day - but if you love contemporary Blues-Rock, foot stomping riffs and screaming solos - then these are the guys for you! KBB consist of Kris Barras - vocals/guitar, Ricky Mitchell - bass, Will Beavis - drums, and Matt Vowels - keys, and they have really mixed it up on this album with the soulful vocal sounds of Phoebe Ions and the energetic Simon Lane on Harmonica adding a a fresh sound to the tracks. Danny Bryant's 'Blood Money' tour comes to an end this Sunday at Leo's Red Lion, Gravesend, Kent. Understandably there have been some great shows already - packed in like sardines and swinging from the rafters in Edinburgh plus Danny and Stevie Nimmo jamming in Elland. The new songs are really coming into their own in a live setting and one of Danny's favourites to play live at the moment is 'Slow Suicide' - today's Track Of The Day. Hard lines to runners-up Lynyrd Skynyrd who we saw at The Hammersmith Apollo in April and Blues Pills who were part of a very wet Ramblin' Man at the end of July. Consequently our Vid Of The Day is of course ZZ Top - filmed when we saw them at Wembley Arena in June with the added bonus of a certain Jeff Beck!
