    Recorded on a beautiful Summer's evening setting of The Bulls Head by the Thames in Barnes, our July Wrinklycast interview (and today's Track Of The Day) welcomed Toronto based Blues guitarist, singer and songwriter Chris Antonik to London twelve days ago. Halfway through his debut UK tour, an intimate setting contrasted with Chris's appearance at The Upton Blues Festival the previous weekend. A rising star of the vibrant Canadian Blues scene, listen to amongst other things, Chris discuss the financial reality of touring as an independent artist, his influences of Dylan, Cale and compatriot Cohen, and his excitement and the ambition behind his new album due out in 2017.

    Our countdown to Ramblin' Man Fair weekend at Mote Park, Maidstone on 23rd/24th July continues - with news that if you download the RMF app onto your phone - you will be able to check out the stage timings and work out your itinerary for both days. Already a potential headache is the Saturday night clash between Whitesnake (pictured) on the Main Stage and Family (see today's Vid Of The Day) on the Prog In The Park Stage!

  • Just Under 2 Months To Ramblin' Man! 26/5/16

    As the nights are drawing in and the days are getting longer, we are now only just 2 months away from the gates opening to Ramblin' Man Fair 2016. It's set to get bigger and bigger with the announcement of their Artist Bazaar along with their Ramblin' Man Food Fair. Also there's a Friday night pre-show gig at the Maidstone Leisure Centre with WRC favourites Leogun opening the show for Outlaw Country Stage's Hogjaw and legendary Thin Lizzy men Ricky Warwick & Damon Johnson. The show is a stones throw from both the campsite and Glamping at The Ranch and is selling out fast!

  • Do Not Adjust Your Set! 3/5/16

    It was a bit like old times when the WRC took in both Run For Cover (Classic Rock Covers) and Glamstar (today's Track Of The Day) at The George Staples Pub in Blackfen, Kent, last Saturday. And unlike the old days, when we used to review all the bands for the local paper - we took the night off as the WRC are in holiday mode this week! Don't worry - we will still have updates - but expect normal service to be resumed at Wrinkly Towers next Wednesday!

    Route 66 host Rory Auskerry will be chatting to Dan Patlansky about his new album 'Intro Vertigo' on his show here from 6pm tonight. And if you just happen to miss the show then you can catch up with Rory again this Wednesday as it will also be our Track Of The Day!

    Congratulations to Eric 'Slim' Zahl and The South West Swingers of Norway (picture: John Bull) who won the 6th European Blues Challenge in the beautiful town of Torrita di Siena, Italy, last night. Red Butler proudly flew the flag for the UK (see our Vid Of The Day) - who not only supported Danny Bryant recently on his UK tour but are also appearing at our WRC BluesRockFest at Leo's Red Lion in Gravesend on Saturday 24th September.

  • The Long Good Friday 25/3/16

    The Easter weekend kicks off with a small WRC contingent heading up to the O2 Islington tonight to see The Quireboys (our Vid Of The Day). We saw the guys at Ramblin' Man last July and there's no doubt that they will rock the joint tonight. Two night's later a larger WRC contingent will be heading to the same venue to see Puddle Of Mudd - even though we still have 2 tickets going spare.   • Easter Saturday Rocks! 26/3/16

    Just a polite reminder that if you are looking for your fix of live music tonight then head on down to the Iron Horse, 122 Station Road, Sidcup DA15 7AB where Rock Covers band and 2015 WRC Award winners The Replicants will be on stage from 9.30pm until midnight. Entrance is just £3!
