  • Walter's Battle Scars 25/10/15

Joyful, energized guitar-and-vocal performances frame the dozen original songs that narrate his hard-won, life-or-death struggle waiting for, and ultimately receiving, a life-saving liver transplant. With bristling energy, unflagging virtuosity and lyrics that cut to the core of human hope and willpower, Walter Trout’s new album, ‘Battle Scars’, chronicles his horrific battle with liver failure. But the 12-song set, which was released worldwide by Mascot Label Group’s Provogue Records last Friday, also captures the international guitar hero, on a new high - playing and singing at the peak of his abilities, infusing even his darkest numbers with creative joy that sweeps like a beacon. Trout's UK 'I'm Back Tour 2015' coincides with the album's release which includes a gig at The Forum in London on Saturday 21st November.

  • BluesRockfest Review - Chris Walker Band 13 July 2015

"It says a lot about Chris Walker that his band were the first band to be snapped up by one our BluesRockfest set sponsors. And Lemonrock were proved right as this larger than life character in his trademark hat kept the punters entertained on and off the stage despite The Rainbreakers throwing down the gauntlet challenging "follow that!" CWB's set opened with this year's single 'Junior's Blues' with Chris's signature guitar solo showing that the band intended to keep the BluesRockfest momentum pumping!" • "Pure Southern Rock - No Bullshit!" 25 April 2015

Our thanks to new WRC member Saria from London for contacting us after Thursday's gig! "I am Italian and I finally had the chance to see Lynyrd Skynyrd last night! The show was absolutely amazing!!! I sang my heart out! You can tell when an artist is kinda fake on the stage, when they're up there just to show off. Lynyrd Skynyrd is something different, man. It was pure Southern rock + their hearts and souls, no bullshit! And they made me feel one of them. The whole show was a big warm embrace! Hard to put into words. Still have goosebumps! Beyond my wildest dreams. Magic." Couldn't put it better ourselves Saria - will Wrinkly The Silver agree?
